If shocks are designed to work at a certain ride height, does adding bump travel - moving the shock shaft up beyond the designed working ride height of the shock. Does this matter or is the shock happy at higher heights just not lower?

Also, will you make a set of plates that work with stock shocks and stock spring size while keeping the stock ride height?
In line with this question: I just picked up a set of RCE Tarmac 2's. I didn't pick up rear hats because I wasn't sure if they were necessary or not. I'm looking to lower the car about an 1" and I'm wondering if your rear hats require a certain amount of lower to work because the last thing I want to do is push the shock past what it is designed to do.

Hey! Thats my exact setup . How did you like putting the shocks on the rear with the raceseng tophats? I'll just say the fronts were WAY easier than the rears.

Not too bad. I didn't have an extra set of hands, so it was a bit of a challenge.

I had my wife hold the shock assembly while I got the top hats threaded on which helped a ton. Got the alignment done today and it looks like it has to go back on stands to get the rear upper camber adjustment bolts up on. I should of done it all at the same time, but hey.. live and learn right?
