I'm talking about the sportlines. Any need for camber adjusting parts other than the cheap camber bolts you can get upfront?

I think the drop of the sportlines is perfect. But if I need to spend more money on lcas to correct camber, I'm simply going to pass. My car is a DD so I want something simple and budget friendly.

Nope.

SPC in the rear
front is stock

However, I do not see them as mandatory. You'll be somewhere around -2 degrees in the rear.

Yea that's too much camber for me as I use my car as a DD and will probably only track the car like 1-2 times a year. Looks like I'm just gonna stick with my original plan of running 1" Hotchkis lowering springs and call it a day. Seems like going any lower will either chew your tires up without lcas or throw a bunch more money into the setup to correct camber when going lower than 1".

At that point, I'd rather just save a bit more and go directly to a coilover system.

Cheers.

Nah you'll be fine - camber doesn't chew up tires like you'd think. Just make sure you get the car aligned (fix your toe settings) whenever you change ride height. If you want a cheaper option:

Also you mention going to a coilover system, without some sort of camber correction coilovers will have the same problem with rear camber as lowering springs.

Coilovers don't fix camber in the rear.

I really would like to keep my rear camber to about -1.0 degrees and upfront to about -0.5 degrees. Thanks for letting me know about those rear camber bolts. I will keep my options open with the sportlines as they have the desired drop I want.

Old thread but was curious about something that was stated earlier. A guy asked how 18x9 would work with these. I plan on doing these with 18x9et35 on 235 tires. Think I'll be all set without any rubbing or fender mods and still be flush? Thanks all

Depends on the aspect ratio of your tires, if you stick to oem tire diameter you should be good (I think).

help me

so i put on the sportline springs and i did it myself and the rear is low but the front looks higher
i did everything right with the right tools .. but i dont remember if i put the bump stops the right way could that be why the front isn't lowered?
there is a 1 finger gap in the rear and a 3 to 4 finger gap in the front

Yep you guys sold me ordering some sportlines right now! Thanks for the info, DIY, and picures. Did any of you end up using camber bolts?

Thanks again!

Forgot to ask is how is the ride? Ive only had two lowered cars in my life a Neon back in high school lowered on the factory struts with I think Skunk 2 springs I bought on ebay. The second was a 323is on Vogtland with Bilstein struts. Night and day difference between the two cars the BMW I really couldn't even tell a difference between the stock ride quality and the lowered.

I'm just curious will there be a huge difference with the sportlines on stock struts I don't think my wife will enjoy a teeth jarring ride over bumps if you know what I mean...

Good deal so I take it the sport line kit comes with new bump stops and sleeves like the pro kit. I couldn't actually find any info stating that.
