The lens on the Piper Aerostar in flight cockpit view was the Sigma 10-20/f3.5 EX DC HSM and mounted on the Sony Alpha A700. Image was around 20 seconds if I recall correctly. Pilot would bank and (once at 45 degrees) would hold and make the circle. I would start the exposure and when finished, we would exit the circle and get back into the approach to do it all over again. Because of the slow speeds to keep the vibration from both engines down we would loose about 100ft every time we closed a circle.

Yeah, been with them since the A100 (2006). I keep saying I'm going to move over to Nikon (D800's and D4's) but I get good images with the Sony gear so I can't make sense of losing a lot of money in my Zeiss and G gear just to make the switch.

Video taken with a T3i and T5i, with the 18-55 kit lense, nifty fifty and some shots with a 55-250mm.

This is a rough draft for an opening sequence to a doc I'm putting together.

^ That's nice, I like the commentary.

I'd do less handheld panning though, doesn't flow with the seamlessness (is that a word?) of the rest!

Now, that was fine. Yes. I enjoyed that. I'm left wanting more.

Your choice of narration is inspired. Who is that, and what is the piece he's reading?

This is very first footage I've ever shot. I literally bought the camera, tripod, flycam, lenses, et al, only 2 weeks before the event. So as someone who has a an eye for things I see it as something that's "very rough" but I'm just gonna have to live with that because I'm still a noob with it all. I hope by this time next year my skills behind the camera are equal to my skills behind the wheel.

Music is from a royalty free website.
Poem: "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein
Reading by Tom O'Bedlam from Spokenverse channel on YouTube. I emailed him and asked for his permission to use it which he granted.
Thunderclap was just random sound FX.

And yes, that is Randy Pobst in that shot who was nice enough to give me the OK to use him in my project.
