The next step for that platform would just be a better motor with a little more torque and higher RPM limit (combined with a 4 battery setup with two parallel sets in series to double the amperage).
Thank you but I can assure you that all the OFT developments is from a team effort. I couldn't possibly do this all myself

As for the ESC, I would recommend test driving one before making up your mind. I found the silent no-fuss extra power to be great. And the easy/speed of install is ridiculous. As is the relatively low price (~1600?). But IMHO, there are still some characteristics that some driver's may not like. Personally, I would wish for compressor speed to be variable controlled and not simply a throttle triggered on/off switch. It currently feels like a TPS activated 50 shot of nitrous which isn't ideal for spirited backroad driving since you can't modulate that shot of torque with the throttle. But for people who just like to point their car in one direction and then stomp on the throttle, there really is no better bang for your buck. But I'd be lying if the ESC, at this early stage of development, is a viable alternative for my personal force induction needs

I assumed there was a massive amount of team effort. You just happen to be the prominent face. I am not knocking the ESC at all. The more I learn about them them more I think it is my eventual goal. I just wish there were more options for motors and better control. I never thought about it being like a 50 shot, but variable boost and more boost would be nice. It doesn't hit the efficiency of that compressor housing because the motor can't spin fast enough. How hard would it honestly be to develop a T-Connector boost switch to vary the speed of the ESC with actual throttle position? With a drive by wire setup, it should be fairly straight-forward to copy the signal as it passes through to the ECU to tell the controller for the boost motor to vary its speed.

Edit: Please excuse my incoherent rambling I have worked ~50 hours in 4 days so far and full time classes with 4 finals, 1 essay, 1 research paper, and a full business presentation in this week alone. I'm shot and have probably 18 more hours on the clock before week's end.

Well considering I can't ever get an answer out of you guys, looks like I'll be going with EcuTek. I'm made mention on 4 separate occasions about FI and for some reason you can quote everyone else and answer their questions, but you can't ever seem to answer my simple yes or no question. I understand you guys have a lot of questions being thrown at you all the time, but you don't seem to have difficulty answering them.

What was your question? In one of the threads, the first post, @shiv@vishnu says that innovate maps will be rolling out next month and he already has early beta ESC maps (by request only).

Edit: Vortech an it is #3 in the OP of this thread.

Read the ESC thread, all the topics you mentioned have been discussed there, it's a good read.

Nah, i've never actually tried a car with auto-blip. Always been curious though and i think i need to get it out of my system

Cause it's gay. Learn to do it yourself and you'll be so much happier for it. Stop letting gimmicks drive a car for you. This is not a GTR.

i wouldn't be like offended or anything if it were, i just think there are far better ways to be spending development time than on something with such a high cost/win ratio as custom logic for auto blip downshifts.

god gave you heels and toes. i'd rather the time be put into a speed density implementation

1) Gimmicks don't "drive" my car because i currently have none

2) You'd likely sell your soul for a GTR so lol

3) I'd like to try it. I'm not forcing it down your throat, so i don't see why it bothers you.

No, a good buddy that I race with has one, and yes it's fast and fancy and nice, but it still essentially drives itself. You just point it where to go.

I know no one is forcing anyone to use the technology, but really... It is a useless mod for a manual transmission car.
