Well, we have a number but found out this car had a bad coil pack (#2) and caused the power to be down about 15 horsepower across the board. So I do not have a real number for 91 octane.

But we have another car that made I believe 225 on 91 octane on our dyno with full exhaust, stock headers, 70mm pulley and intecooler.

E85 is the way to go.

Cheers,

Surprisingly this car still has a stock clutch and flywheel with about 16K on the engine/tranny. I am a little surprised myself.

Heart breaker mode. Though I will need to check exactly what it was.

I have seen problems with a couple kits with leaks on various kits, bad coil packs, various exhaust systems, intakes and missing parts causing lower power numbers than expected. Though these are what numbers are to be expected.

Alcohol fuel, no care.

We appreciate the time you spent tuning and the power made (benchmark baby!), but EtOH only applies to a minority of the tuner world.

Can you please share how the bad coil packs were diagnosed? Any signs or did you just replace them and the power came up?

At first there were no check engine lights just a weird hiccup at about 6K RPM's under heavy load in 5th gear. Not really anything serious but could never determine what it was. So we ignored it.

After a while it became more pronounced and started throwing P0352 codes for coil pack malfunction on cylinder 2. So we replaced it with the spark plug and all was good.

So far I believe we can net about 350-400 whp on a DynoJet on stock injectors. Though still need to actually do it, but I think it is doable.

Okay, what's the flow on these things? I don't know how dual injection works, but on single injection cars with ~500cc injectors people were running 1000cc PLUS injectors to get that kind of horsepower.

I guess really it's about how much overhead there is on stock injectors at HP level. I imagine IDCs are just about maxed?
