On a related note. Heuberger Subaru in Colorado can go fuck themselves. I placed an order for the correct oil cooler bolt over the phone two days ago. They had 3 in stock at that exact moment. I called today and they don't have my order. So I gave someone there my credit card info, they either wrote it down or faked it, and now they don't have any more in stock.

Whoever else ordered your bolts from them you lucked out. I just ordered the bolt from ebay.

By eyeballing I see the STi bolt as ~4 5/16". That translates to around 10mm longer than the Forester bolt that I measured.

I'm interested in doing this. Is the original parts list list in post #1 still accurate or are there more options? Yes I've read through the entire thread, just wanted to clarify.

Yes it is still accurate!

There are other ways to substitute the water pipe, but if you want to do it like I have in the instructions, then follow the parts list.

In addition to being oemish, this looks like it will have zero space issues with a TRD intake which likes to FILL up that space in front of the engine. That would be a certain win for a lot of people looking to cool/warm their oil who are using that intake (like me).

can someone post a final list of all the parts needed. I just read through all of it and there appears to be parts added and parts not used. I wanted to order all of the parts and have someone work on this for me. Thanks in advance!!!

This oil cooler looks to have different inlets/outlets on it. The routing of lines also looks different. Notice how the inlet side doesn't route down the front of the block, but rather over the back?

I'd be interested in knowing more about what setup they've employed on the STI really. Also like to see a vendor here take on the task of redesigning the lower/rear hard-line so that this becomes more of a plug and play solution.

If you want to do it the way I did, then follow the parts list on the first page.

I don't think it requires too much of a re-design, is it not already plug and play? The issue is that the pipe bends on the forester instead of straight on the brz, no? Would it be possible to just cut it up and re-weld it back on straight?
