What I meant was I see no reason to go with the CM over the ACT at all. I am upgrading my clutch disk to 6 puck because I already have all ther components and that is the only thing needed to upgrade from FX300 to FX400. Pressure plate is the same. Tut's ACT pedal felt really good, noticeably easier than my FX300. Engagement was rough, but my full face FX300 was not that much better, it just can be slipped more but thats about it.

So if the ACT won't hold, FX400 either. I'm on the phone so if this post has mistakes, blame Autocorrect

Spoken like a true car-aholic. Well boredom really. Each car is its own experience and variety is the spice of life I suppose. Congrats, nothing like getting a new toy. I have had two Beamers that I played with, never an M-series. But I am sure that I will make my way back to BMW someday, but for now my interest are leading me back to Porsche. I am contemplating a reasonably priced 996 turbo purchase.

It will compete with some GTRs but once you build a GTR to real race levels it won't compete (I owned two R35s and have a NISMO on order right now). I would say just have it conservative (upper 400s lower 500s) and leave it as is. The thing with the GTR is that those cars are true street cars that you can DD and it makes 1xxx if you wanted to and have no real problems whatsoever. A friend of mine has his GTR that makes 1050awhp (high 800s turned all the way down) and runs 9s all day and he drives it literally everyday. Have this be a true weekend car and not a DD because that turns up the timetable of something breaking. |

I drive my car as a dd as long as its not snowing. Never had issues related to it being modified and I've made several 6+hr journeys. I'm not easy on it either.
