Murdered out yo. Halo headlights. Lexus badges. Hood scoop that is most likely non functional (TMIC, etc.). Doors open for picture for no apparent reason.

They're everywhere. Enkei Raijin's, a lot of the vendors sell them including FT86 Speed Factory.

Please tell me there is a Lexus V8 under the hood!?

Don't dislike the look. Seems well enough executed.

No idea what kind of personality disorder or thought process would drive a person to re-badge a car to try and be something else.

When I was a kid, a lady who drove us around would not let us roll the windows down because she wanted people to think her car had AC...seems like the same kind of thing going on.

I agree, that we should not be ashamed if it's a scion, toyota, or whatever. I just think that rebadging to fulfill some sort of ultimate status is kind of cheesy. If owner of the car is trying to make a joke, that's on them, but judging by the exterior mods, I'm assuming he wants his car to be an LFA. Or to make people who are unfamiliar with the car think it's some elusive Lexus.

From a brief survey with my friends, only about 1 in 5 knew that Scion was owned by Toyota
That kit looks kind of cool, but is still a bit of a stretch, I like how it at least retains the Toyota badge. Really? They didn't know what Scion was?

Agreed.

Or you could just make your Scion into a Audi.

On a side note, that is a pretty cool spoiler if it was functional and didn't add tons of weight.
Love how the trunk doesn't fit....at all.....this is a horrible atrocity imo.

I can't wait to see the GTR badge on an FRS.

Not trying to argue with you, what constitutes a "newb" thread? I never understood forum/thread elitism. I made a thread based on my opinion, and it is just that, an opinion and my opinion still stands too. I think a Lexus badge on an FRS is lame. Simply put. I don't lose sleep over it, nor do I care either which way. I just think it's lame.

Unfortunately not. If not for the fact that most Scion dealerships are connected to Toyota ones, it seems like a lot of people wouldn't know they were related at all.

You cared enough to post a thread and call the guy out for people to talk smack. Not really needed. You dont like it, great, you are entitled to that. Why make a thread?

And the thread I was reffering to your new here and full perrin build one. And i should have been more clear. There was nothing wrong with the thread really, all of us started somewhere. I replied many times with information I hope was helpful, as did many others. The fact that people could have just come in and called you a brand whore or told you to research instead of asking "simple" questions is something that happens on other forums, but luckily not this one. Everyone here attempts to help, no matter the level someone may be at. Not the kind of group that attacks people for putting on a lexus badge or ferrari vinyl even.

If that is forum eltiteism then oh well

My Perrin build thread WAS after fully reading and researching, and for the past month I've done nothing but read and research. However, that being said, it's rather hard for someone who has never modded a car before, or considered modding, to separate opion from fact or fiction. There is also a ton of marketing tactics that go into everything that I'm sure everyone at some point in time has fallen victim to. How was asking questions, about considering a full Perrin build considered noob? I was legit asking so I could be informed. Yes you did provide me with great advice as did many others, I took everyone's advice into account and continue to do so.

I will still stand by my opinion on this thread. A Lexus badge on an FRS, to me, is stupid. You are just as entitled as I am to express your opinion (as you've done in this thread) I don't want to argue with you, or with anyone on this forum. It's a great place and I enjoy it quite a bit.

Wow, I can't even fathom, I see a Scion commercial almost daily, and at the end it always says to visit your local Toyota dealership. Pandora also has an ad every minute about Scion lol

I've agreed with almost everything you have posted except for this.

Terrible idea.

This car is the Toyota 86, it's not a scion, just branded as one in certain markets. I'ts definitely not a Lexus.

I am proud of Toyota.

It's all the same to me... Lexus, Toyota, Scion....

So a Toyota Soarer is not a Lexus Sc300? I don't really care what badge it has on it. As long as you're not sporting Ferrari badges like that one fool posted on here.

True, I meant stretch more so in the luxury and price(more often than not) department.
At least it's still in the family! Lol
