Yeah a bit of a large stretch, also the price of our car doesn't even fall into the low end of the Lexus category.

Not judging, but can I ask your impetus for doing this? What made you want to re-badge to a Lexus? Was it purely based on probable reaction or ?? |

Not you specifically pretty much everyone who thinks it's stupid as if this is significantly different than rebadging to Toyota. |

I guess, but why troll with such a great car like ours? I just don't get it. To each his own though I guess. |

I am not even hating on Lexus I really like them. But the FRS is built for the masses and is built for the excitement of driving it. It is a drivers car and should not have the unneeded expense and weight of more frills. I just feel that putting a Lexus badge on it is kind of a slap in the face to the people who put in the work to build it for the average Joe. It is bringing back the famous Japanese cars of the late 80's and 90's before they got crazy and only the rich could buy them. I am and always will be a huge fan of the Supra, RX7 and 300Z. But I was just to young to get one before they got crazy and you needed to be rich to have one. So to me the FRS/BRZ is a dream come true and we should all respect Toyota and Subaru for making that dream come true.
Even if they did make us wait a bit to long Thanks

Bet he wears a flatbill and has a neckbeard. When people laugh and point at his car, it's not because they are impressed by his "Lexus".

I'm not a big fan of the all black color scheme, but I do love me some Lexus badges on Scions. I'd totally put one on mine.

I like the hood. I think the Lexus badge is simply for attention and nothing else. Still waiting for someone to make a vinyl cover the the subaru emblems.

I had more of a tirade but decided it was a waste of time, a great car like ours shouldn't care what badge is on the front, as long as it's been maintained well and not destroyed to look 'cool' or go fast I'll appreciate it (OP's is dangerously close to crossing that line in my opinion, hoods and wheels and lights can be replaced though). |

As for rebading for the brand image, I can kinda understand. Lexus does seem a bit of a stretch to me though. Nothing about this car really says "Oi oi, I'm a Lexus". Unless of course, they went with this body kit...
![]() ![]() ![]() On a more serious note, I'm currently working on a JDM conversion project. I'm gonna try to get it as close to spec as possible short of a right-hand drive conversion. This is mostly due to my respect of the brand. Sure, they had maybe a decade or so of the most boring cars you could imagine, but I think the average joe should realize that they can still produce a true sports car. From a brief survey with my friends, only about 1 in 5 knew that Scion was owned by Toyota |

This is like a VW owner putting an Audi badge on their car. No, it doesn't work like that.

Yup, it's definitely a large stretch if we go by pricing. At least it's not something totally off the wall like a gtr badge...
