If you're not already sliding with the caution lights activating, then yes. Otherwise you have to wait until you're done sliding. Just hold the TC button down for about 3 seconds solid, maybe a fraction or two longer. It's perfect for deep snow. Your car won't go flying all over the place unless you have summer tires on. haha

I have used it on the fly a bunch. Once I'm off the highway on the offramp I'll hit the button. It's one of those things where it's easier to have fun with it off, but the responsibility is all on you. Getting used to the BRZ's fun factor, I didn't turn it off much. Plus you have to have predictable tires. When I had to replace my rear tire with all-seasons after a bad puncture in the stock tire, the car was retarded to drive. Even the stock tires were better. I'm waiting for Spring when I get Michelin Pilot Super Sports before I go all out with my driving again.

Still waiting for SoA to replace my BRZ (should be in the next few weeks I think, nothing firm though), but in the meantime I gotta a little Xmas present to myself from the brown Santa elves! Thanks @FT-86 SpeedFactory for the timely delivery, great packaging, and the Laffy Taffy!

Wow! If I had to work that hard at driving I'd trade in my cars for skateboards. |

Hardwired my 9500xi today. Took longer than I would've liked as it was my first time taking apart so much on this car, but it came out perfect.

I'd hate to think what I'd drive like (or if I'd be alive) today without having learned way more than was required about driving. The DMV licensing process is a complete joke and incredibly socially irresponsible. You'd think the state could afford to build some driver training facilities with a couple of porta-building classrooms and some empty tarmac so they could actually teach people how to drive: think how much we'd probably save in the long-run through reducing accidents! |
