Wow lucky you. I just drive home from east Rutherford to Jackson. Holy. Shit. It was a Disaster. I barely made it through my town and lost traction in every gear at every speed everywhere lol.

Same here just drove around Jackson & Toms River. She was by no means an amateur car to drive in the snow. I imagine an automatic might fair slightly better but I think I'll need studs to drive around if its going to be like this all winter.

Only lost traction twice and I expected it both times. I'm just happy that I work like 2 miles away from my apartment. I wouldn't want to be out in conditions like this for hours each day.

I really don't recommend the Dunlops. I was much happier with the Cheap General Altimax Artics on my Evo 8 and even happier than that with the Blizzaks on my STi. Figured I'd try the Dunlops because I was so happy with the Star Specs but if I were to do it again I'd go else where.....

You're going to want to throw some weight in the trunk as well! I haven't yet and the ass end wants to kick out on you.

On a positive note, the BRZ started just fine at -21F yesterday morning...

And you NEED weather techs if you're going to be driving it year round.
I used Dunlop M3 for seven winters on RX8, and now second winter with Dunlop 3D (they do not make M3 anymore) on BRZ. I never had any problems with driving in the snow. Just today I was able to pass almost everyone on the road at heavy snowfall around Philadelphia. I could even start moving car being on uphill in 4 inches of snow. These tires are among the best for winter season. On mix of ice slush with salt and water on the road I could do 60 MPH and car was completely stable and controllable.

I drove on my all-seasons once when there was fresh snow one night at like 3AM. I was driving in a straight line at less than 15mph and my BRZ still slid left and right. Good thing I was one of the only cars on the road at that time.

guys, one of the joys of the car world is driving a small, rwd sports car with LSD and winter tires in the snow! Those AWD cars are missing out and overrated.

Stay safe!

Put some sand or litter in the back end. Make sure she has some weight back there. The TRAC works good but not a ride for an amature in the snow. Hell the worst part was for me leaving her in a parking lot. Lets just say I woke up to a hit and run. I guess its time to get new fenders and bumper.

Met up with some friends for snow football today. Parking lot had some snow on it still. Donuts/drifting may or may not have been performed.

One of my friends has a turbo sc with an open diff... He had a harder time haha. I love having an LSD. It makes the car so much more driveable, especially with snow tires
