By the way for those that are confused or worried about what I was saying. E85 is notorious for being more difficult to start in cold weather. I never once had an issue with starting my BRZ on 91 octane with the starter battery. But Rob gave me heads up and there are a few upgrades coming to the kit.

If you check the new install instructions, there is an upgrade for the battery holder (which looks awesome), also he is switching from a lead based battery flagpost to a brass one. (Nice upgrade as well.)

As ever this system is constantly evolving. And Rob is trying to make the best system he can make.

I believe Bu-Tang is testing a few things for Rob right now, and we may see a few more things crop up before these go retail.

Ya cold weather with regular 91/93 is nothing.

It has been between -20 to -30 C all week here in Calgary and I have had 0 problems. I use 0w20 in the winter for oil.

I am surprised how well this little car starts in the winter....ive owned 2 Subaru's before this and they were both horrible starting in the winter.

It was -30c today and I left it outside for 9 hours....fired after 3 seconds of turnover and it sounded strong

I'm testing what I believe to be as the production kit, I washed the car right before our blizzard here in Calgary since I have the luxury of 2 cars I have been driving my beater.

As Rob mention prior we had a solid week of -17C - -20C 2 weeks ago I believe and even with the small battery setup it started within 2 cranks and was not weak to the point of concern(Felt like any other battery would in -20C).

Based on observation and the fact that I'm back to a single charger the batteries do take a little longer to warm up but with no traction its not an issue since I don't really hit WOT till the highway.

Its -28C today in Calgary and -38C with windchill, This will be a very good test as I haven't touched the car in 5 days, and will take it out tonight for the evening. I park in a detached garage(not heated) as well so it will be very close to ambient temp.

Ill make a video tonight when I get home to show you all the start up of after 5 days of not driving it.

Cheers

Believe so, the second charger will be an additional option, I believe it was always meant to be a additional option on all the previous post regarding it.

IMO since its been removed its really not that big of a deal, I think the only time I would miss it is when im out with the crew ripping around and need to WOT continuously for 30-45 mins.

Other than that the 8:1 more than meets my needs gunning daily driving.

So the Question is how do I get my hands on a production kit? I live nearby to VISHNU too, I can't wait for this product to get released.

Totally agree with the statement above. I will know how the aux battery performs in the spring when I hit the track in March.

Good stuff. I couldn't believe the power that my battery had.... I believe I have a slightly larger one than standard....kinda like the "winter package" per say.

5 seconds ?, wait a minute...You need some glasses my friend.

The TQ250 plus E85, front pipe and catback

I'm seeing a 6 seconds for the 0-60 run.
First video, he start at 3 seconds and reach 60mph at 9 seconds.
Second video, he start at 9 seconds and reach 60mph at 15 seconds.

*** 60MPH = 96KMH ***
You guys in the USA can do the 0-60 in second gear.
Canadian guys, we have to shift into 3th gear to do the 0-100KMH.
The second gear on our car end around 95-97KMH.
That's why he make it in 6 seconds instead of 6.5-6.8.

The TQ300 stock

I'm seeing at least 6.5 seconds for the 0-100. He start at 4 seconds and reach 100KMH between 10 and 11 seconds. When I pause the video at 10 seconds flat the speedo shows only 95KMH. At 11 seconds flat the speedo shows 102 KMH.

I'm seeing 15 seconds for the 0-160KMH. He start at 4 seconds and reach 160KMH at 19 seconds on the video.

I'm seeing 23 seconds for the 0-190KMH. He start at 4 seconds and reach 190 KMH at 27 seconds into the video.

Naturally Aspirated FR-S with bolts-on

It is about the same numbers with my car on this video and I had to do a bad slow start because the camera couldnt stay in place onto the steering with a good hard launch.
My car have a full exhaust system, an intake, a perrin crank pulley and a tune.
With my poor 91 octane gas my car may have what around 185-190WHP maybe VS Electric Phantom car that got 205-215WHP on dynosheet paper.

I start at around 15 seconds in this video.
At 22 seconds I'm at 100KMH so a slow 7 seconds because of the bad start .
At 30 seconds I'm at 160KMH so 15 seconds for the 0-160KMH.
At 37 seconds I'm at 190KMH so 22 seconds for the 0-190KMH.
With a good hard launch start I could have save a good .5 to 1 seconds to those numbers.

I have seen you post this before. Your car with full bolt ons is quick and your shifting is very good.

All said and done the phantom gets you way more torque and that's what people are really paying for.

Do a 4th gear roll from 2500 with full bolt ons and time that. Would be good to see the comparison.

Thanks for your observations on the videos...what we need is one of those g box's for doing timed runs.... You tube doesnt really work that well because it doesnt show millisecond.

That's awesome if your car has 190 HP on 91 octane that is quite the accomplishment congrats. Certainly one of the highest I have seen.

What did your car get for peak torque with those mods?

I agree with you at 100% regarding the 4th gear test.

You must have a lot more usable torque with this unit.

But I still thought that the acceleration with this e-charger would be a bit faster than that.

If I run one of these over my current setup and could be able to cut another 2 or 3 seconds for the 0-190KMH run then it would be monney well spend.
