TCS off with the button is not completely off. So the engine would still try to retard timing if it detects slip. Maybe it can get confused with TCS in sport mode?

Just think, back in the day, if engines had a CELs, and they lit up everytime the engine misfired .... it would always be ON...!

A simple code reader can be had for less than $100 and is easy to read and can be quite informative.....

hahah yea that would suck if it was on all the time. but no it was definitely the cel flashing slowly and when i took it up to toyota they said it was a misfire. and when i turned traction off i hold the button on the far left for 5 seconds until the 2 lights turn on indicating that everything is off and its time for me to start acting like a hoonigan hahah
