Just an update. Skirts are holding up great! The are very secure and solid feeling. No screws have fallen out, and I scraped on a large speed bump, and didn't even phase them.

Great DIY, Love the creativity of homebrew parts.
Liked that you made able to work with factory mud flaps ![]() We have created something similar to this for guys that don't run factory mud guards: FRS/BRZ CS style Side Skirt Extensions (Polyurethante) Here it is installed: ![]() |

Nice plug haha. I pretty much modeled mine after yours though. If I had the money I would have picked some up, might get one of your lips eventually.

Great work @ML! This is exactly what I want for mine, and I have the tools to do it. Not crazy about drilling holes in the car though. Hmmm.
By the way, you could do a lip the same way, it would just take more labor to create the shape and secure it.

I was hoping i would find someone that had made one and put up measurements, would make my life easier, and i could just send all the measurements off to my fabricator. If i do make one, ill post up details

I wanted to make my own splitter as well, but I can't find a good source of aluminium.

Pretty neat, not something I would have thought of, but the result is very nice.
Did you only have the shop rout the edge? For the thickness, I would imagine it would be simple to run through a planer to reduce the thickness and remove the wood texture from the one side. Once I get some free time in a few weeks, I might do this. Even if I never put it on the car, I just enjoy making things. |
