The reason you are seeing what looks to be a problem with the XDF is because you are trying to view your 700G ROM in our XFD which is meant for 01G ROM type. Even our 700G tune is actually a 01G rom type since all are tunes are based on the latest factory ROM release. It was just named with "700G" in the name so that OpenFlash manager would allow it to be loaded (it doesn't allow changes of ROM IDs for safety's sake). In the case of the 700G and 01G ROM types, the share mostly the same mad locations with the exception of (but not limited to) VVT intake and exhaust base tables (which we don't even modify btw). So don't bother trying to view your original ROM with the XDF unless your original ROM is 01G type. Cheers, Shiv |

Shiv, I just got my ODB2 bluetooth reader for torque and was outside playing around with it. Some readings didn't look right on it so I plugged in the OFT. Long Term Fuel Trims were sitting at around 5.7% at idle. Is that normal? Completely stock intake with just a perrin panel filter.

Its just my intake that is stock. When I get done with some work around the house I'll take it out for a spin and see what the rates are at WOT

Mods: K&N filter, catless front-pipe (neither of which should affect the tune) Prep: Drove with fuel light on as long as I could bear it. Seemed like forever. Still only took 11.2 gallons of e85 (damn you inaccurate gauge!!) Status: After filling, drove ~1 mile very gingerly on the gas tune. Once I saw the fuel trims start to dance a bit I pulled over and flashed the e85 map. Started right up after the flash, let it idle for a minute, then drove off very slowly through some residential streets where I could keep the load, revs, and speed way down. I watched the ST FT and LT FT very closely. They were definitely dancing around a bit for a few miles of this miserably slow driving. As the fuel trims got closer to zero, I started to increase loads a slight amount. I watched some more dancing trims but once those got closer to zero I increased loads a bit more. I ended up doing 10 miles of driving in total. I haven't fully revved out the car yet, so I can't say just how much peak power it has, however I could certainly feel a boost of torque in the midrange. I'll give it some more time before I really dive in. The only thing I've noticed thus far is my fuel trims are jumping to around -17 on decel. Not sure if that will clear up on its own or if that's a result of my stock header's lack of flow.

Could someone briefly explain what the "soft rev limiter feature" in 1.34 is? Thanks!

Instead of it bouncing off the limiter like an angry child, it sits at redline and won't let you rev any further. This is done by pulling so much timing that the engine just can't rev.

To me, it would make more sense if it has to do with the different air temps, since e85 has a much higher cooling rate than regular gas. |

I won't be concerned with LTFT on deccel or idle. Or even too concerned during cruise conditions either. It's LTFT under load (during open loop fuel control) that will have an effect on actual AFR.

It seemed pretty good at load. I'll do some more tests later. What should the idle AFR be like?

lol, so I just took a "coffee break" and did some wot pulls. Pulls hard as hell. Fuel trims were solid at 0 at wot. I did notice that decel trims are looking even worse...-25 was common. So it's running rich as hell then. Won't that throw a code eventually too?
