Mine is a daily driver, but I modded it out like someone who would track. I do go to car shows and love taking car of my car. I don't have to take it to a track and enjoy it. I like the coilovers I have, the wide tires for grip and looks, and I really enjoy modding the car, but I don't think I will go beyond tuning it with my headers, intake, and exhaust. Still sketchy about going FI.

My car is a daily driver with 15xxx miles. The only mod it has are exhausts, STI lip kit, and drop-in filter. It's a joy to drive and still brings a smile to my face every singly time I get in the car.

DD and only car.
Bought a Kartboy pulley (looking forward to improved response), and plan to get new summer tires/wheels (partly for lightness/grip, partly for looks). Switched to a K&N drop-in filter element.
Might get GReddy SP exhaust, and will red out the tails, but that's it.

After a long day of work, this car is my decompression chamber.

That last piece right there is a HUGE part of what brings me joy the moment I'm behind the wheel of my FR-S!!!

I'd rather just drive it and enjoy it without having to worry about anything breaking.
Mine is a DD and all I anticipate doing in the short term is the exhaust in an attempt for better sound together with a drop in filter. I will also buy a set of wheels with sticky rubber and upgrade the brake pads for the odd track day.

In future I'd like to consider a short shifter and a brake upgrade. Once the warranty period is complete I may go FI as well

The two that I road tested fit me great, and even though I was only in them for 15 minutes or so, I felt like I could stay all day.
I regularly do 110 miles of freeway driving in one sitting, not nice freeway either. Plus some rush hour commute traffic (one hour to do 25 miles), if the 240z doesn't get on your nerves I can't imagine you complaining about a car with modern HVAC (although you will need A/C for less than outside temperature, the engine definitely heats the air even on the coldest setting) much better sound deadening, a supportive seat, cruise control, and a modern radio.

I got into podcasts, stream them off my phone and I can adjust the volume pause and skip tracks on the head unit with nice physical buttons, couldn't be happier upgrading from my little Datsun (Nissan) truck even though it doesn't have that lived in charm yet.

I DD mine. Roughly 60 miles a day. As of now the only mods I have are OpenFlash tune and K&N drop in. Will probably leave it at that for a while and do some suspension stuff. A tune is a necessity for this car imo. Drive ability has increased so much after tune.

I used to do the same commute in a 93' 240sx for a few years.

I drive all over the city for my job so I wanted something that got great gas mileage but was still fun to drive. Something with nice features not a stripped down MPG only car. And also something I wouldn't want to trade in a few years from now, something I'd want to keep till long past its payoff date. This was the best DD car for that to me. I've had way too many cars by now and wanted one I was sure I'd stick with, I'm pretty sure this was it.

Mine is a DD and I love to drive this car. I have done minor mods. Tires and exhaust will be done later. Always puts a smile on my face and it always turns heads.

I DD mine as well. Since this is my first sports car, I really want to master everything I can about it before I even think about modding anything. But even then, I have no intention of doing that for years from now.

Yep, I suggest you get a GoPro ..... then you can prove that you were driving around AND you can watch re-runs when you can't get out to drive .....

I DD my car. Just over 36K miles (would have been more, but it was in the shop for about 5 months).

I plan to basically mod to STX specs. I did my first autox last year and had a blast. ST classes are dual purpose vehicles and I planned to due similar mods before I even knew the rules. I do weekend canyon runs quite often and want the upgrades.

You dont have to be stock to be DD, just know how to keep it reliable. It is my only car after all.
