DD @ 19k. The part that still gets me the most is how much attention the car grabs every time I stop somewhere to eat or grab a drink.
Still planning to swap out a few parts, maybe a tune. Most of my daily-driving is on the highway, need a bump in torque for overtaking and exiting corners.

I hear what you are saying. Despite the car being awesome stock, many enjoy modding our cars.
The stock 17x7 weighs 20.6lbs. It is easy to shave 2-3, even 5 lbs per wheel, while gaining an inch or more in width. Eventually you will get new tires, wider wheels will enable a wider tire. More grip, quicker, better mpg. It's a win win. |

Mine was bought as a DD. The mods I'm doing are for mainly for comfort and safety. Winter tires, mudguards, armrest, sharkfin, Weather-tech, LED's stuff like that. I'm more than happy with it's performance "as is". Future mod's like sound deading and new tires when the stock ones are done will probably will be it.

Thanks for your response. Do you have the listing of what feature/accessories come with it? also, how much did you pay for it (before tax & delivery)? |

My car is a daily driver. I'm planning to keep it relatively tame and close to stock for the sake of reliability. But of course I've already done more than I ever planned to do in the first place. lol

I DD mine as well, just hit 23k in just under 10 months. I bought it with the intent to drive and mod slowly, but the slowly part did not happen.
No engine mods, just some aesthetics (side markers, new reverse light, wheels and exhaust) and comfort items (new headunit, JPM knee pads, Katzkin Leather seats). I even did coilovers on my DD. When you guys do switch out your wheels, beware you will lose some MPG since you no longer have the low rolling resistance tires. I lost about 4 MPG on my first tank with my new wheels. However the cars feels much better with some stickier tires. |

Since this is now my one and only car... I plan on leaving it stock and enjoying it for what it is...
Although.. I might have to get an axle back exhaust for a better exhaust note.. |

It's my DD but I did some light mods like LEDs, side markers, Unichip, Injen CAI, and a few other cosmetics. I really want to go FI, but I don't think I'll ever go that route. I'm looking to add a perrin crank pulley and some other cosmetics, but that's about it.

Mine's a lease, so a K&N filter, a set of winter tires, and better looking exhaust tips are the only mods I've got and plan to do. Only have 500 miles on it so far though.

near 14k miles in 4 months.
common sense says it would be retarded to mod a dd heavily. we'll see how that plays out, i'm usually pretty dumb |

I got the car to commute to work and school. But after awhile of having it, you will be tempted to mod it.

The car is the only daily commuter I've driven that can put a smile on my face each morning
I have roughly 40 miles a day in driving. Mods will remain mild since I'm more into modifying my 4Runner for the trail, but wheels tires and suspension will eventually find their way onto the car.

I dd mine and the kms are racking up so fast! I do 62kms one-way to work and i'm already at 13,000kms since purchasing the car back in July
![]() I don't plan on modding the car till it's fully paid off and well out of warranty. So basically, after 5 years... just planning small mods like a wheel and tire package, mild lowering springs, an openflash tablet, and maybe a lip kit package with a duck tail. The turbo kit will be a while... Plus, I'm not done tinkering with the mr2 and would like to further that project before I do anything drastic to the frs.
