That's awesome!

UPDATE

Ok. So A week has gone by. 1400 miles of steady miles put on the car. (drove from Orlando-Miami-Orlando-Tampa-Orlando, rest of the miles have been here and there at work going from site to site)

NO CRICKETS. It's like they packed their bags and left. I'm so content right now... I can't even explain. I have no idea about this next part number... But I have the most up to date installed and needless to say... I'm happy.

When I pull up to a security gate, I don't feel like I paid 24k for a hooptie anymore.

YMMV but Shell gas works for me before that I was pumping 76. Out in CA we only get 91oct so it's hard to fund 93 or anything more. I don't know what is different about Shell gas but it works and others here have also confirmed this works for them. One third tank now and no more chirping, it stopped almost immediately after filling with Shell.

I'll go ahead and confirm that it doesn't work. I've own an FRS since June 2012 and a huge fan of Shell gas before owning one. I've pump over 20k miles of premium gas from shell 93 oct and I've had loud chirp since 1.5k miles. Chirp still here all day eer day

In SA the highest rated Octane fuel available is 95 Octane (RON I think) and even this is of questionable quality and can vary drastically between stations at times. I also had the noisy crickets. Recently I tried some Liqui Moly Octane Plus for a run we did to see if I can experience what the car would feel like with the proper fuel. Noisy crickets are gone and for this last tank I only used a 1/4 bottle and have run the previous tank down to about 6 litres. Car was a lot smoother through the revs and quieter at idle.

Not sure if it's a fix but it helped me a bit.

I'm on about 26000km (approx 16230 miles) and this is my everyday runner with no real mods at all.

94 oct petro canada fuel contains 10-15% ethanol, shell 91 contains 0% ethanol i went from petro to shell after i noticed the crickets @ 500 kms, ever since then i have yet to hear them again. My ODO is currently @ 7500kms, dont know how a fuel pump swap out would fix this issue is there a more technical read up on this ?

You need to check out this thread:

Also there is a new TSB covering the chirping for most 2013-2014 models

Works for me and a bunch of other owners over here. Updated to YMMV. Perhaps its regional. Just throwing it out there because I only heard it though meeting other members who have switched.

Toyota wouldn't check in to my claim of the chirps because I have the Perrin Inlet Tube installed. They said if I brought it back in with the stock set up they would check it out.

I'm in your region, when I had the chirps Shell was louder than other brands, but I only tried it twice and it could be chalked up to the phases of the moon. At this point I go for the most convenient/cheapest station and my chirps disappeared completely around 10k miles, going on 16k without a peep. Original pump, 12/12 build.
