Quick question. I have the Perrin inlet hose installed. You think he'll give me trouble and try to blame the cause on the part?

They can't deny you a fix for a known problem. Even dealerships use the terms "crickets" and "chirping".

My dealer - Vancouver Toyota, is stating that this latest rev. is only for 2014 cars! WTF... amazing.

Update: The shop manager is indicating that Scion has yet another TSB revision in the works - due in 2 weeks or so. Part is being revised yet again, as there have been failures with the TSB version 2 (Oct 17th, 2013) part.

I have had the new pump for over a week now and no Crickets anymore. I will post back at the end of the month to give a further update about the crickets.

Got mine replaced today. When I called initially I just confirmed with the service adviser that they had the part # for the new pump.

Crickets are completely gone, at least for now.

Unless you drive 250mi to your dealership, I wouldn't expect them to be back already.

Then the parts guys at that dealer are dumb! The TSB applies to all FRS with that VIN and numbers/letters that come before it. 2013 FRS's have the D in the VIN. 2014's have an E. You are covered my friend.

TSB/part being revised again
