Crickets.

They exist with the newest 010 pump. They're muffled, but present.

I have over 2000 miles on the newest pump now.

My crickets have been more subdued lately...I can hear the pump making noise when the car is warmed up and the engine is idling but it's not the pronounced crickets it was when it first started at 1000 miles (on the nose). Coming up on 3000 miles, I believe. Still on the original pump.

The only thing I can think of that's changed besides the additional miles is the winter blend of gas I'm sure stations have switched to by now, but if anything I thought that would make the crickets worse.

Not really, if I read the article below correctly. The only real difference between winter and summer blends is the amount of butane in the gas. Ethanol content probably varies depending on where you are.

Just wait for a god damn fix from toyota. It's annoying but you might as well deal with it. Going to get it replaced is a complete waste of time.
Crickets don't bother me anymore because a family of woodpeckers ate them and made a nest in my engine.

Just got my replaced with the newly designed fuel pump. Hope the crickets don't come back. I am tried of driving a brand new car for over 8 months with the pump noise. I am trying to get some compensation (i.e. more free maintenance) from the dealer for this.

My local dealer was exceptional in getting this fixed. They had my FR-S for about 2 days, and were in constant contact with Toyota while they troubleshot and replaced, even though the problem was known. My service person contacted me several times through the fix. Scion has contacted me 3 times to make sure that I was happy with the service when the addressed it, called again to make sure that I was satisfied will all aspects of the service, then called again yesterday to see if I was still OK. They said they will check up me in two weeks to make sure everything is working, as hoped.

Scion customer service at my local dealership has been remarkable. I really can't complain about the people aspect of my problem, just the parts, i.e. pump and windows.

I'll update pump noise as I drive around more.
Still quiet. New windows still quiet too.

Just got off the phone with Toyota service rep

Just got off the phone with Toyota service rep.

I had my FR-S scheduled to come in to fix per REV2 TSB oct17th.

He said that Toyota is still working on the problem and that the REV2 TSB will be changed again.

I'm still having the pump replaced, but the next TSB will include a new part for the Fuel Delivery Pipe. I guess they are going to put a dampener on it as well.

Asked when the new TSB is coming out and he said they don't know.

Figured get the new pump now and if the next TSB has new parts for the fuel delivery pipe then get that replaced when it comes out.

May I ask what exactly you're asking to get compensated for? Some noise issue that isn't detrimental to the motor/car?

My dealer indicated the same - new TSB on the way out to further address issue. They are telling me 2 weeks or so until it is available.
