Cool--its a limited edition, which helps, plus AWD in the early 90s is pretty fantastic.

Small trucks are always cool.

Unless they're ruined by owners.

This and the Typhoon, both cool trucks. Weren't these the fastest production GM vehicles at the time they were made?

If i remember correctly, there was a high level GM bossman that compared these to the corvettes of the era in straight line speed and that there wasn't much of a difference.

Sleeper trucks are cool, plus it was fairly high tech for its time (awd/turbo), instead of just tossing in another 350/327, which were god awful at that time.

Wicked fast pickups are always cool...

I so wanted to do an LT1 swap on my old Chevy Astro but practicality got in the way.

There was a point in time in the '70s where the ONLY vehicle Dodge had that would go more than 110MPH was the Lil Red Express truck (below). It was even featured in shoot out with other cars in a "double the 55" speed limit article at the time against some pretty sexy supercars. Not sure which auto rag it was though, but it was one of the mainstream ones.

0-60 in 4.3 seconds in 1991? Eh?

For a pickup truck?

Those were silly fast.

ALSO, it was not hard to make em faster (as with all FI)

Another "sleeper" was the Buick GNX or Grand National.

Ehhhhh everybody knows about those now. If I saw one, I'd never try to race it. Guys with Grand Nats take that shit real serious.

Those things were faster than the then current Ferrari 348 through the 1/4 mile. Imagine GM doing that today.

If anyone can find Car and Driver's comparison test between the Syclone and Ferrari, read it. It's hilarious and set up like a street race for pinks.

What happened to the car magazines...?
