The front end doesn't "shake" as much. That's the best way I can describe it. It feel more solid. Thing is, before fitting the bar the way the front end behaved was normal, I had nothing to compare it to but the difference was immediately noticeable on the bumpy streets around home.
Important part coming up. There is no way I would want to have the car feeling like it did before fitting the bar. The difference in feeling is chalk and cheese but I can not say objectively what performance benefit there is. |

Installed TRD front strut tower bar and door stabilisers. No difference whatsoever. Perhaps because I'm still on stock Michelins.

They also extended it up and used an extra set of bolts. It's well made but maybe more for looks than engineered to do its job? Lots of us with the Grimmspeed have stock tyres and suspension but can certainly feel the difference. One guy had someone either remove it or fit it for 5 test drives and he picked it right every time. |

Why you say this? I think a strut bar is a strut bar, if the bar don't flex, she will do the job and I don't think the whiteline strut will flex If you check the size and the conception.
She look like the Cusco strut also and I think whiteline sell a lot of good products. For the price, she probably do the job because they don't want to loose her name with a product like this.

The amount of movement is so tiny that it needs to be solid rather than have bling. I wanted bling but they convinced me to buy something that's not as pretty but does exactly what it's designed to do. Let us know if you also feel the effect as soon as you drive it. |

http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_..._number=KSB652 The biggest argument with these bars isn't what they are made of or of how many bends there are. Yes those do play a part, but so far, the biggest argument has been regarding the means of attachment. The WL, Cusco, GTSpec, and a few others all have hinged joints. Grimm, Hotch..., AEM, and a few others have solid joints. My logic tells me that the ones that are hinged are just for show and do not actually do anything. I don't have any personal data to prove this, but like I said, my logic.

What do you think of your strut bar?
You have good points Boredom.
I don't know if they perform testing but am sure they probably do... We just need to ask Whiteline directly, who can reply to this here? From my experience with the Cusco strut on my old Skyline, she do the job, very good steering feeling...And the Whiteline is, at least, very close to the cusco for the FR-S. I mean, about the conception like you say, hinged joints. I don't have any data to prove it like you but it's only about my driving feeling. This is why we are here to discuss about this and if someone can add some data it will be appreciated.
