You need this first to hold it in position, as it should be, to be able to properly judge any suspension modifications. How can you tune the suspension when the strut towers move? |

What do you think of your strut bar?
Maybe the strut tower need to move a little bit on the process of the balance of this car... And I don't think the current configuration with the oem 2 bar make the body to move too much.
I don't think you will make a better time on a race track with this car and a strut bar. Correct me if am wrong.

Grimmspeed went to a lot of trouble to make sure their brace was needed and works.
Any flexibility in the body is unintentional and will have a negative impact on handling. I can go through roundabouts faster than I could before and with more confidence, that will also apply to the track. |

Cheap strut bars are for looks. Nothing else. If that was the purpose for the mod, there are plenty of $30 bars on eBay. Hell, you can probably fabricate your own for the same price, if not cheaper.

My thoughts on my strut bar.
1 I was skeptical about it making any difference. 2 I was impressed with how much difference it did make to the feel of the front end. 3 I am not a good enough driver to tell if it makes any any difference to lap times. That is, I can't attribute any difference in my times to this bar. 4 For me it was a worthwhile addition, see point 2 above. |

I clicked on the link that Mikepage posted and read an interesting comment. I haven't noticed the wandering that used to happen at speed on some straight roads since fitting the brace but wasn't aware of that until I read it just now. If it's also cured that it's definitely a must have. “Install took all of about 10 minutes. REALLY liking the difference the bar makes. Overall, a "tighter" feel in the steering wheel, the minor "back and forth" I felt via the steering wheel, even on pretty level roads, is gone. I'm feeling quite a bit of difference (IMHO) when driving over washboard roads or small bumps. Thanks GS!” – PNW FRS |

You're way too late. GrimmSpeed had a group but with the release of their bar. Two hundred and thirty three people took advantage of that (including myself).
