Once...back when I had my R6 sportbike.
I was coming home from school on a 2 lane road coming up to a big curve I liked to kneedrag on. There was 3-4 cars ahead of me going slower than the speed limit. I decided to pass them so I can have some fun on the turn. Dropped it down to second and pinned it. Im in the on-coming lane going about 90+MPH when I come around the bend and see a cop running radar. I pinned it and took off down the road as it straightened out. This was a rural area with nothing around to hide, luckily there was a goodwill (only store for a mile). I made a hard left into the parking lot, parked my bike, jumped off real quick and headed to the bathroom of the store. Took all my gear off and chilled out for 10-15 minutes. I would never do it again. I actually sold my bike, I wasn't ready to die or go broke from tickets. |

If you're even tempted to run from the cops (and I'm not) at least come visit our country to try it - our cops don't routinely carry guns!
I'd be too scared to try and get away from one of your armed cops.

H2 south, just past the Waipio Gentry on ramp. I was coming around the curve and he was in the shadow under the overpass. I passed his doing 72 in the fast lane, but there was a bit of traffic between us. The thought was in my head for a second, but I eventually pulled over to the right shoulder just past Crestview and rolled down my windows, had my information ready and treated him respectfully. After the formalities, he asked me a bunch of questions about the car and we went upon our way. Luckily, I didn't get an excessive; I just drove to the Ewa district court and paid my ticket and went about the rest of my day (it happened at 9:30 am)

HA! I've actually got away twice before.
Reasons: Running a red light going at least 65 on a 45. Not when it was red, but when the light turns yellow then red then VROOM! Ill just say one story. I was with a friend going about 60-70 and ran a red. As soon as I was crossing the intersection, I notice a cop posted at the gas station to my right. Since I was going that fast already and he was at a complete stop, I downshifted and starting hitting high 80's to mid 90's. Zig Zagging my way through medium traffic, and took my first right on the road. The light was just turned red, and I took that right turn going pretty fast, enough to break the end loose just a bit. THEN my first said, "Oh shit! Another Cop!" and I look at the rear view mirror and there was a another cop stuck in the intersection but the light turned green. This cop btw was hauling ass compared to the other cars to his left and right. ANYWAYS, I was dipping down the road taking my first right into the neighborhood zigzaging my way. Then I eventually parked next to a cargo van at a random persons garage outside and declined the seats all the way down for 20 mins.

I wasn't sure if it was thats why I wrote "I apologize in advance if this post in inappropriate." If its moved or deleted, I'm cool with it. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same thoughts or a similar experience as I did today.

If people are running after committing a more serous offence such as a robbery then they do have access to weapons in lock boxes of some patrol cars and we have an "armed offenders squad" and "special tactics group" in our police that they will call into the area. Most cops don't however carry weapons just on patrol. There needs to be a specific threat before they will access a weapon.

Maybe not, but I still beat up hookers when I'm done with them to get my money back. It's just basic economics.
