I had read somewhere that the stock catback wasn't a restriction and adding a catback wasn't so important (that's why it was my last piece). That's not correct. I drove the car more today and this is the first exhaust piece I've changed except for maybe the front pipe that made a clear and noticeable improvement. The transient response was fast before but is crazy now. The needle just jumps straight to full boost where before it just climbed quickly. I'm guessing the big jump happened now because I removed the last restrictive piece.
It's worth noting that with just the mid pipe and no axle back it's still pretty quiet, but loud as hell with the mid pipe removed. This would seem to indicate the mid pipe is more restrictive than initially thought. |

EDIT: Let me rephrase that. It's barely louder than stock at a cruise, and picks up when you get on her or if it is a cold start.

Using the borla Uel it was excessive, sounded just fantastic at times, but most of the time was just too loud. As in no conversation up a hill, headache with windows down, dogs of hell at 3k rpm accelerating. Back to stock header it's a night and day difference. |
