Yup, driven pretty much every major street in downtown, mostly North of SOMA and East of Haight. Not going to lie there's some stuff that scares the shit out of me, I think it was California St. that's got a stop sign where you can literally only see sky out your windshield if you're behind the line.

Came across that in my gutless truck, the FRS was a bit easier but I definitely did spin the clutch up a bit more than usual out of anxiety.

No scrapes except for parking and entering stuff, so on the streets I've been good so far, stock height, MT. I admit I try to avoid it if I can but I won't shy away from it, I mostly avoid it because I despise finding parking more than anything else.

I'm amazed that you scrape from entering places more than those roads, I've been on steep roads not in the BRZ but in a Rav4 and thought I was gonna scrape.. I'm amazed that it didn't scrap the FRS from those, especially when you say all you saw was the sky. I just feel like you'll get stuck halfway over the hill.

I drove up to SF 3 times the past 5 days from South Bay in my BRZ. So far I didn't scrape anything yet but those pot holes are pretty crazy if you don't avoid them. I feel like I get a full body massage going through SF since the road is so bad with lots of construction going on. Gotta love those rolling road that you can't see anything in front of you.

The car will be fine downtown, just don't come down the steep slope too fast

That reminds me of a question I had when driving around SF. Why to do you guys have all the pot holes and rough roads with broken pavement? It's not like you get snow and freezing weather like we do on the east coast.

California is a pretty broke state. One of the many reasons for the high cost of living.

I love driving the hills in SF!!!! I think the FR-S clutch makes it easy. I have to parallel park on hills often when I go up there. If you know what you're doing a manual is way more accurate.

I own an auto and I still do that on occasion during an emergency stop out of habit.

But I agree. Anything not flat and you need to control the gear you are in. good thing I can still do that

Usage, this is the highest population state and generally regarded as the third worst traffic in the nation.

Keeping up these roads is a massive cost not to mention the productivity lost if those roads get closed, the less traveled roads and back alleys are a bit nicer because they hold up longer.

My first few cars were stick, I only had one car that was an automatic. I started with a stick on my first car so yea I understand. As soon as I drove my mom's car which was an automatic I did that first thing when I got in the car, it was the hardest I've ever braked and felt like the car was gonna flip lol.
