OMG..you guys live in road heaven

You guys don't know how lucky you are.

I live in South Jersey and have to drive my BRZ on the most straight and boring roads ever created. I've owned my BRZ for one year and have seem at total of ~3 other BRZ/FRS on the road. We mainly have SUVs here with Moms taking their kids around.

Recently made my first trip to San Francisco area. Rented a standard car and drove all over the place, including up route 1 to Stinson Beach, on the Panoramic Highway, and up to Sonoma. OMG!!!! What fantastic roads!! BUT..it killed be not to have my BRZ!!!!!

Plus, I passed ~ 10 BRZs/FRSs in one week!!!

You lucky guys & gals!!!!!

Try to come to one of the meets/ drive next time you're up here. Something is always up, whether it's a quick meet / drive get together. Glad you liked it ,but it would be even better with a group of BRZ/ FRS enthusiasts.

Haha I would be terrified to drive in SF with a manual at all! But PCH I'll drive that route any day!

Care to share some? I haven't come across any that damper my hobbies.

Edit: Nevermind, remembered the whole intake exhaust some people like fucking with and how it has to be certified to pass smog. I forget people care about that...

It's really not so bad, the anxiety is worse than 99% of time spent on the road.

Finding parking in a city is a universal fuck you though.

After living in CA for 10 years and now living back in FL..I def appreciate driving in CA on twisty roads so much more now. I truly miss it.

And btw..if you have a friend that works at an inspection shop (almost all shops do inspections for the state) they can just sign off for you. I paid the guy an extra $50 every other year and was well worth it to change parts as I pleased.

I am very glad to move from Virginia to North California almost right after my discharge from the military. I love the car culture here and I'm very glad I can take fun drives with cool people and autox on a regular basis. Something I wouldn't be able to do if I didn't move to Norcal. :)
Bay area still hella expensive though. (I wrote hella)

No..that day was the foggiest during our 10 day trip. It was mostly clear in the 70's and great driving weather the entire time.

You don't think so? I feel like my car will scrap every hill there. I'm not even sure it'll make it up the steep hills. Are you driving around downtown? Because I know there are some less hilly areas but downtown terrifies me. I can barely make it up my driveway, I doubt it'll be possible anywhere downtown.
