While I respect your opinion, your wrong. Welcome to the world of tuners/sports cars. It is still a god dam GT86, unless i missed it were the VIN magically changed and it no longer has a vin that is of GT86 origin. Please refer back to my next post, everyone who wants to be fast, doesn't keep the stock motor, in almost everything, Except the supra/skyline. A honda civic with a k20 is still a fucking civic. Swapping the motor out of a car doesn't change what kind of car it is, even more so when the motor is from the same chassis maker.

Optimism seems to be an issue here. Give the guy at least some credit for building a fast ft86, whether it was a 2jz or an fa20, the guy still did something very very impressive. The guy is running 1083whp without touching the block of the engine, I call that impressive and this is pointed to the guy that said that this is cool but not impressive. He built the engine, mounted it on the car to look so OEM that everyone who watched the video just wished that the 86/brz/fr-s came with a 2jz stock instead and believe me, the numbers of cars will be much higher than now because the first question I'm asked whenever a guy sees my car, "They say that it's very slow and has nearly no torque, is this true?". Yes it was built for handling and cornering bla bla, well, how about approaching a corner very fast? that's much more fun for me.

To the OP, thank you for posting the video. Ebrahim is impressive as always and I applaud the whole team for working this hard to achieve these results.

I like it,....very much,...had considered looking into it myself....but in my opinion its no longer a FT86 when the heart gets a transplant,...the boxer engine engineered and designed for the car.....its no different than a LSX engine swap in a Miata,....its accolades of speed and power are no longer relevant and it shouldn't be called the fastest ft86,... anymore than John Force's car should be called the fastest Mustang.....just my opinion ,.....not a hater or hating it at all. It's a Hybrid.

Huh? a short block is referred to the block only meaning that the head is not there. A long block is referred to the whole engine meaning the head + block. You might have jumbled that up with small and big blocks' v8s.

Bro you're still not getting me. The word "short block" refers to a block without a head meaning that if I would be wanting to buy a block only I'd say the word short block to the scrap, salvage, whatever place I'm buying it from to make sure that what I want is just the bore/block/lower half of the engine you name it. A long block is an engine including the head/s, intake, exhaust manifold, and block.

What I said was correct, a "stock block" means that the block of the "built" engine has not been touched. The youtube video description will answer the rest for you.

If you insist on correcting me, maybe someone with more experience could chime in. I don't mind.

I stated it's a stock short block just to clarify it, I do realize the difference
People would've assumed that the engine has not been dismantled.
