I agree completely with your stance on opinions here, but people will always defend their own personal cars and why they like it. It's alright to debate opposing opinions if it's kept civil, IMO.
If it makes your jimmies wobble, you can know that I'm working on my own custom job. Gonna take a while due to space limitations though.

I would build my own, if I could find the materials locally.

I am thankful there are people like you out there who can/will engineer and build these things.

I lack the ingenuity, craftsmanship, time, and motivation to do it myself.

yea thats kinda obvious. my thing is, as far as performance, youre putting a diffuser on a street car to gain what? 1-2 mpg and maybe shave .05 seconds on a track when you probably wont drive on the track but 1-3 times out of the year. Makes sense for race cars but not your FRS. its no different than the shopping cart wings everyone screams ricer over. As far as aesthetics, which is purely subjective, i can appreciate the craft work but i just dont like the look.

Hypocritical thing to say after calling it a "jumble of Home Depot products" earlier in this thread.

BTW there isn't an aero section so where else would you put this type of product? Maybe the track section....but doesn't fit there in my opinion. The rest is just

couldnt you save more by simply laying off the pedal? cheapest mods are the ones to the driver.

You could do both and get even more. I don't see how improving your car's efficiency is a bad thing. If you don't like the looks cool, don't get one. Diffusers do work and work well. The will USUALLY decrease drag and increase downforce. And if you balance the car back out, what do you get? A more stable car at highway speeds and better gas mileage. Win Win in my book. Oh yeah, if you race, the possibility of better lap times.

Rear diffuser and front splitter are you best L/D gains, ie lots of gains with minimal drag penalty.

Even before I bought my car, I started planning for a diffuser that would function, and not just be cosmetic rear ballast.
