I think it is getting close though. I know Rob currently has 8 FRS/brz in the testing phase. This is going to be a lot of data and should help him get to market sooner

I don't think it's actually hitting those values, but the MAF is interpreting the turbulent airflow as those values.

BTW, you said about 20 pages back that there is calculation of boost and g/s to determine horsepower. What is that formula?

I think @Robftss knows it.... I don't remember it anymore. Ya we thought it was weird too but the readings were very consistent which doesn't usually happen when the readings are false. Anyways.... Definitely more testing and analysis required especially on the tq300... 250 doesn't seem to have that problem unless under 2000 rpm.

All this talk about turbulence, has anyone tried a straightener? One of those things that looks like a honeycomb or a bunch of straws or are those considered to be snake oil?

The stock airbox does have the straighteners.... Not the honey comb type however. Not sure where that would even go in our setup.

We don't know yet if that is the issue however it does seem suspect.

Rob said that he is going to attempt a blow through maf design which should help everything should he be able to implement it properly.

Oh BTW... The tq300 system really whines when you get on it down low. Its a very unique sound, I like it.

Curious if whoever has the Perrin intake has this same issue.

Doh! I forgot where the sensor is located. You could only do it with an aftermarket intake.

That would be cool, but as I questioned earlier, should this system use a different maf and recalibrate for it to make sure all that air is properly accounted for?

This system does not need the maf to be rescaled because it uses the stock airbox and the MAF is in its stock location.

If we move the maf then yes, we would have to rescale.

ThaTruth has the perrin. To be honest i didnt have a problem with the 3.5kw unit so i wouldnt expect anyone to have problems with the current system.

The one that i am testing uses a different impeller design with more blades for higher top end flow.

Just received the FTS. Looks freaking incredible. Very tempted to install this tonight but I promised my students they would help tomorrow. I was wondering if you guys wanted me to create a step by step instruction with pictures maybe video etc. I have access to student a who can write things down and take a ton of photos. Should be easy to make this an assignment.

Also @fenton maybe you could help. I sent a message to Toma about the tune. I was hoping he could output the file as an Open Flash Tablet compatible file type. The new BRzedit software version supports outputting to the OFT file type. Im hoping to get it by tomorrow.
