I think I might put a couple of 6" subs there just to bring bass forward in the cab. Combined with a proper sub in the back, it would seriously rock and might even be enough for a lot of people without the proper sub. Problem is making a cabinet that fits perfectly behind the panel.

Integrity Concepts makes a nice enclosure for subs as well guys.

I agree with comments on Bazookas. A good sub with enclosure knocks the pants off a bazooka for quality bass.

I don't think anyone ever seriously claimed Bazooka was a SQ sub. They were designed to be a simple way way to get some thump. Throw it in your trunk and take it out easily when you need to. They did the job they were asked to do quite well, but no audiophile ever installed one and if they did by mistake, it didn't stay in for long.

First I am going to use sound deadening material to close all the gaps. I realize that this will still allow some flex which in my opinion is good because I would much rather these areas flex instead of the car body panel. Next I plan on making a wood and fiberglass composite panel to close the opening and mount the sub and speakers to. I will be making a sample of the composite soon so I can see if it will meet my needs.

I will get some pictures of my work up when I get started. I don't have a lot of time or space to work on this these days.
@bakedbeef Did you ever get this done?

Last post was 7 years ago and OP hasn't been in here since then. You should get accustomed to using the search functions in here as they would save you a lot of time
and 99% of the time answer most questions since a lot gets asked/answered in here in many different ways.
