Kyle has ran 2 sessions on stock pads. I'm sure they're toast but he made it through.

Just noticed that we'll have a ringer there tomorrow, as in former Indycar driver Parker Johnstone in his '62 Austin Healy Sprite. Chances are, he'll be passing us all in his 948cc 46 hp classic unless his drum brakes crap out.

Sample pic:

What a great day running with awesome twin pilots. Sorry I had to leave early with mechanical troubles.

I figured out the misfire experienced during the next to last stint on left handers. I ran out of gas on the way home. During the lunch break I got the least amount of gas, 2 gals., to finish the day based on the Ultra Gauge display of 14.9 mpg during the shorter, slower morning stint average. It's all about saving weight, right?

Except I was a little too clever when the longer, faster afternoon sessions dropped the average to 13.1 mpg. I drove the second to last stint with the low fuel light on but ignored it thinking it must be a mistake while wondering why the car was backfiring during the two left turns, T2 and T6, using WOT.

A bit embarrassing to be sitting on Marine Drive, flashers on, waiting for my wife with the gas can, but it all worked out.

Good times, and got to meet Parker Johnstone and talk a little about shared interests of cars and airplanes.

Anyone up for Laguna Seca November 14th?

Thanks for taking the pics DA. It was good to meet you yesterday. Hopefully we'll have an opportunity to turn a few laps together.

Torqdork, sorry about the misfire, hopefully nothing serious. We missed you on the last run. I think only 5 cars made it out, 4 were 86's. I wasn't able to keep up with Sam, but I didn't expect to. All in all it was a great day sorry to see the season ending.

Didn't read your whole post before I posted above. Good to hear you discovered the solution. I guess I was right it was a fuel pick-up issue....no fuel to pick-up!
