Overpipe fitment?
So I have been debating on whether to get an overpipe or not. Should be an easy decision BUT I have heard a few things that have put me off. I was wondering if anyone could address a few of my concerns.
I have tried searching the forums, but I only found a few threads on this. I have heard that the overpipe rattles when installed. Is this really true? Has anyone had this issue, and how can it be solved? |

Depends on the quality of the pipe. I have a Perrin and it fits just fine. With a large front sway at you're likely to run into problems.

Here is the clearance on my Nameless 3" downpipe. Whoever says a 3" isn't possible isn't trying hard enough.

You'll have a hell of a time without doing it. You'd really have to force the overpipe portion under the block which when looking at it would be impossible for mine to go through.
This is doable on jacks if you jack up the engine a few inches after undoing the passenger side engine bolt. I thankfully had a lift which made the install an absolute breeze with a transmission jack to lift the engine up by the oil pan. |
