I used to cruise around in a 1977 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme. I think the doors alone weigh what a brz weighs.

The stops (or almost completely lack there of) is aggravating. The damn door won't stay open even on a mild slope. If you don't open it exactly at the indent, the slight bit of momentum will take the door right past it and it'll shut on you.

Sure it wasn't dynamat or something like, to help with sound deadening?
Some forms have a foil backing.

Now someone is going to have to pull up door weight comparisons with other vehicles so they can show OP that hes lost his noodles..lol

I do believe my FD rx7 doors were lighter by the way...atleast it felt that way

**Plus the way people always slam my FREAKING doors automatically tells me the door is lighter then they are used to

I think the car is just loud, no matter how gentle I try it sounds like I slammed it unless I only let go the last 6 inches or so... Long doors = big lever = big impact. We all know there's no insulation in these things and the roof is more like a drum skin than something structural. Sounds awful when you're inside.

Negative, my doors dont make that much noise unless they are slammed and the whole damn car shakes..lol..i can tell the difference

**Also when i go to shut other car doors because im used to my own (and i respect other peoples cars) but the first time i sometimes dont shut the door all the way

Verified. I owned an 08' VW MKV GTI before this car and I can appreciate the weight of our doors so much more.
Especially when trying to balance the door to get out of tight spaces.
