I went to the dealership today asking if this was possible....they said no because its a safety feature and there is no way for that to change....went home and read this thread...and now it works... i feel like calling them and telling them that i did it myself and there is a way for it to be done. This place also tells me that the crickets are normal...

After doing this I noticed that I now have this light flashing on my dash... What does it mean?

Don't have the manual in front of me but I think you just hold the unlock button down on the keyfob with the drivers
door open til it chirps.

I was able to grab my manual during my lunch break and read up on it...it says that light is supposed to be flashing to show that the alarm is activated? now im confused haha

So what happens if you lock the door and your passenger isn't aware of the feature and touches the the door handle once this setting is on? Will the car unlock unbeknownst to you?
