folks--please keep in mind this car has a STOCK exhaust. We removed one choke point, but left in place a few others (look at the stock overpipe). This is why you're not seeing the same thing as the dyno from simmons' former car equipped with 2.5 header back stuff. Open up that exhaust and we can do much more. When tuning this one I was surprised to see we couldn't use the cam timing from the full bore car.

The tune itself I advertise to 8-12 hp gains in the dip and up top. Admittedly there's no way to really beat the stock peak torque number by more than 2-5hp on pump because subaru has the stock tune at peak timing, optimal cams, and 12.7 AFR at ~5000 rpm. Hint--that's how you tell it is not just the tune making that power...i.e. different gear or changing combination of runs. We learned this by what was likely hundreds of pulls on the dyno (with other tunes as well might I add since we were late to the party). So don't focus on the peak number, but look at the peak gains relative to the "hump" at 5000 rpm. If you don't think you'll feel 20 hp in the dip and 15+ hp up top on this car you haven't tried it. It is like losing a passenger. That we certainly don't claim to do with tune alone.

Once I finally get the headers I think I'll have to fend off the ladies with a stick. Hopefully I get them before the end of October when I move otherwise I'll have to call JDL up and tell them as such.

how many others have received headers? Can't wait for everyone to get them so I can finally get my replacement and not have to deal with the rattling noise coming from mine. Even after beating the crap out of the skid plate, its still hitting somewhere.

Yeah I'm in a similar situation. Moving across country mid October, hoping mine will be out by then.

I had a dream that a stock pile of car parts came in the mail and my headers were the first thing I went for and they were glorious and plated GOOOOLD!!

I just want my headers! Any updates @JDLAutoDesign?

It may be the flexi joints making the noise.

it could be, but yours sounded different than mine. Mine is like high pitched.

Either way, Still kind of think us first adopters should be looked at as priority but its taken so long for the rest of the GB I feel bad for everyone who is still waiting and hope they all get their header soon. Just wondering how long I will have to wait until everyones order is filled.

I've moved on from it now, I have plan B coming into action later this month. JDL have stated intention to use a friend in the UK to swap my faulty manifold with a new, revised replacement. No ETA when that will happen though.

Can't let this thread die from the first page until I finally get my header! Probably won't be until xmas and after I move at this rate, but eventually I'll be a happy camper!

Supposedly Drift Office got their header today and are going to post numbers, or at least that's what they said on the facebook group.
