You guys have crushed my hopes haha now I'm scared to call my insurance company. As far as the winters go, I have a 1990 Toyota Hilux with locking hubs coming with me so I should be good. Planning on keeping the FRS in the garage for the winter. I appreciate all the feedback guys and look forward to meeting you all. By the way, does anyone have an opinion on living in Canton? Any advice appreciated!

WheelDude finally got around to shipping me a replacement Stivo spoiler (in the mail now). Waited about 3-4 months. I really hope they checked it before shipping, because if this one doesn't fit I'm shipping them back a box of dog shit.

I was looking at Canton for a while because my wife and I thought she would have a job at UMich. Canton is a very nice residential suburb. Nice houses, low crime, and reasonable prices compared to Northville and Novi. If you are looking to buy a house, steer clear of the southern part of Canton because it's in a bad school district so the home values are worse and the resale will be worse.

The complaints about Canton are busy roads and little character.. if you want more character.. Ann Arbor, Plymouth, etc.. have more night life, nicer downtown, better parks, etc..

Depends how you spend your time I guess. I used to live in Canton and found it to be extremely family oriented and boring. I moved to Plymouth and now I am walking distance from 5-6 pretty solid bars. Everyone I hang out with spent so much time around here they all ended up moving down this way. Also Plymouth has live music and festivals in the park all the time. Just seems to be more going on. If you have a family or aren't big into drinking Canton is probably great. Royal Oak is great/better for nightlife but it's probably too far.

Why not live in Ann Arbor? Cost?

Welcome! I drove a hilux when I was working in dubai and let's just say I got really good at fixing them lol I work for a realty group if you need any help finding a place and the best part is its free to you to have us negotiate your rent and any repairs/upgrades. If your looking to buy we do that as well and as with any company the buyer doesn't pay a dime. Just thought I would offer sense you are new to the area.

In AA insurance is not that bad, actually. Fewer people on junkers w/o insurance.
Canton? Depends on how far into AA will you work. If it's right by hwy - maybe. If it's UM, etc, it will be taking you 20-30 minutes just to get on hwy, with a total commute getting kinda long.

I'm taking my car in next week. The cold start cold weather popping/thunking is back. Also, when I try to restart the car while its warm (after waiting a few minutes) it takes twice as long to start. If I try to restart right away, it starts fine.

It's sounding to me too much like the DI issue so I'm not going to take any chances. No CEL. I'm going to check for pending codes tonight or tomorrow.

I have 2.5” Resonated Catback from Perrin.Eikond helped me install it.It sounds deep, probably not that loud but definitely better than stock.I am planning to put front pipe as well.

Just wanted to say what's up I'm new here and I recently got back up for school with my new FRS... I've seen only one other FRS in Ann Arbor though.

If you go with new headlights.. get something with HID projectors.. I rode in a Scion recently I really notice how much brighter and better the HID's in the BRZ are. That makes a big difference driving at night.

Check out the front lips on the market. They are cheap, easy to install, and make the front end much more aggressive. I did a full kit on my car and I love the results.

Keep an eye on this thread.. we're going to do another picnic or meetup soon. You need to come out and join the group.
Heard that, with my restaurant schedule, I would have to know in advance for a weekend day off haha, part of the industry.

What kind of HID lights would you prefer?
