i dont think i was there when he removed them but from what i heard its pretty quiet with them on. silencers off really brings out a really nice aggressive sound.

I plugged your Swakopmund-Windhoek B2-B1 route into Google Earth 3D and "flew" it, sightseeing along the way. Reminds me of the Aussie Outback but paved. I don't think those roads would be easy at night!

Interesting, thanks for the pics and travel report. Namibia sounds like an oasis on a Continent full of (being diplomatic here) trouble spots.
Yes, those were bloody long 10 months.

The roads SUCK at night. even during the day, Warthogs are the most dangerous thing (besides other drivers) - you hit a warthog, and your car is gone. As simple as that. There's lots of roadworks along the roads as well. But it's a nice drive.

Namibia is, fortunately, politically rather stable.

Cost wise: I paid 291.000 Namibian Dollars for it... about 29K USD, so slightly more than you guys pay for the FRS.
The High-spec is 335K NAD, and the Subaru BRZ (full spec sheet and extended warranty are the only option we get on that here) is 379K
