Vortech vs Innovate
Where did you get this dyno since you haven't dyno'd your own car yet... And seriously, you had moto-east do your install, but you didn't pony up for a dyno tune while you were there? That's just crazy.

And I know this dyno isn't from moto-east because his vortech tune is on my car, proven via dyno.

When it comes to moto-east tunes, for the innovates to come close to me they have to run E85, same dyno same tuner, innovate e85 265 with alot under the curve, my vortech @ 274 with 150tq at 2k... On 92 WAWA gas, if I went e85 I think it would be a blowout.

I didn't go with a dyno run on Mikes suggestion. I asked him if I should throw it on the dyno and he let me know it was up to me but wasnt necessary since he would be road tuning and my build was fairly generic (innovate/injectors with no other real power mods). I hope to get it on a dyno soon but honestly don't care about the numbers.

Here is the thread I took the dyno from. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41909 He says its the same dyno and same tuner.

Did you miss this lil blurb below the dyno:
DYNOJET WHEEL HORSEPOWER:
INNOVATE BASE TUNE: 213HP 171TQ
VORTECH BASE TUNE: 212HP 176TQ
The Vortech Kit was set to it's lowest horsepower map

So that kinda sums up that dyno, the vortech was under tuned so it was a fair acceleration test between the two.

RIGGED DYNO.
That blurb is from Dezoris not FRSPirate who posted the dyno.

A dyno is all ways worth it, not for the numbers but for the peace of mind. (It's also nice to know your getting everything that is safe out of that 4k investment under the hood.)

A canned tune will never provide the peace of mind that a dyno does... (Unless ur v-tuned)

Yeah I read further on, only thing I can think about that is that that tuner is horribad.

When I was on stock injection moto-east still got me to 263. On 92 octane.

I agree which is why I brought it up. It is not a canned tune though, mike had ther car for a day and road tuned. I do agree with you though a dyno graph would be nice to see, I put all my faith in mike which may be foolish but so far I am more than happy with the way the car drives.

Honestly all a dyno would do at this point is eat into my ego and make me want more power :P The car felt perfect from 2k- redline in every gear so that was fine with me.

Also every dyno is different. This is another reason it's bad to play the numbers game. For all we know that dyno posted baselines at 130 whp.

peak hp gives you forum bragging right though

justifying ones purchase is the norm for some so it seems.

FWIW, here's a comparison of NA vs Innovate on my car.

Unfortunately for the Innovate kit we had to abort the dyno run early because the dyno operator thought that the car was running lean (We later discovered that the issue looks to have been with the dyno's tailpipe wideband. I'll be adding my own just to be safe.) As soon as my wideband arrives and is installed I will be rescheduling to redo the E85 Innovate runs, and do some 93 runs as well. The car appeared to be on track to make ~250rwhp though.

NA Mods: Nameless Overpipe/Downpipe/High-Flow Cat, Nameless Axleback, K&N Panel Filter
Fuel: E85
Tune: Visconti
Temp: 60F

Innovate Mods: Same as above + Innovate SC (stock 75mm pulley), DW65c Fuel Pump, DW700C injectors
Fuel: E85
Tune: @DeliciousTuning (First shot at the tune, no revisions as of yet.)
Temp: 80F

I wish you did another pull, that does look like a very nice flat torque curve... And ur HP line could be used in blue prints.

I did a couple others, they were having some RPM dropout issues though, need to find a better place to clamp for RPM signal pickup. Moto-Mike's tune/curve was very similar.

Run 8 is Delicious's E85 run
Run 9 is Moto-Mike's E85 Map 3 (slightly less aggressive timing)
Run 10 is Moto-Mike's E85 Map 4 (slightly more aggressive timing)

All three were only run to ~6500 because of the uncertainty with the wideband.

Have you seen any full pulls of moto-mikes e85 innovate tune?
