Dude, if you come up with an idea, I can help you source the metal super cheap and help you build it,

I've already got the idea. Pretty much a simple sheet design to cover the OEM parachute where the muffler was and rivet some veins on that aren't too aggressive. If you look at the borla diffuser that's kind of where I'm going with it, but I need to cut a hole in the sheet to fit the (most likely) 5" diameter can and 3" piping.

Ill be fitting onto that exhaust next weekend.

Thats a great looking piece and I applaud your ingenuity. But does this really have a purpose on a street car with 200 hp? I know I've seen these on race cars and similar diffusers on 500+HP Ferrari's but isn't it just aesthetic?

Air doesn't care how much hp you have.

Yep. We come with more hp than an Elise and those are heavy on aero.

Even autocrossers are learning the importance of aero and how it is effective at all power and speed levels.

That being said I have the uber expensive and probably useless factory diffuser. Are you selling these?

Thanks man! I'm at 20 of these things on people's cars its pretty damn cool for me. I'm trying to pick up a couple more vendors, hopefully I can actually make money off it at some point. But alas.

I am expanding to a few more items though.

Right on, your work looks good. I'm interested to see what else you come up with.

Look at many of the current Formula SAE cars, especially from University of Missouri at Rolla, these cars rarely see 60mph, and are low hp.

A diffuser provides the unique capability to increase downforce AND reduce drag at the same time. You just have to tune the diffuser to optimize it for the specific car

Very nice DIY'ed rear diffuser. I'm sure some of the track guys here would want to give it a try at the track for additional aero
