Lol thought this was appropriate. I feel ya tho... I am in the same boat but everytime I lay eyes on the bike... it's an instant nope, I'm keeping it.

You'll regret selling it. Honeymoon period lasts a long time for a car that ticks so many boxes, maybe not before winter comes by definitely by next summer you'll have one great weekend ride and be hooked again.
I can't imagine any car replacing the experience of even the least compelling bike. Except for maybe this:

Thanks for the input guys. Think I will keep it since its not really costing me anything at this point. Maybe I'll take it to work for the next couple days. There is something that a bike does for a person that a car can't replace. I just need to re-discover my love for motorcycles again. I used to do track days and builds all the time with them. Man do I miss track days, too.

Forgot to mention that bikes are incredibly cheap when you consider the smiles per mile efficiency. There may come a day when even an FRS sucks too much gas.

I've let bikes sit for a year or two at a time, but never considered pitching them all-together.
Only problem was gummed up carbs and cleaning a rack of 4. Solved that by selling the carb bikes and getting injected ones. No worries other than keeping the batteries charged.

I sold my 1993 CBR900RR to get my FRS. I was a little sad in the in-between period (didn't know what kind of car I would be getting yet), but after getting my new baby, I have never looked back.
I would consider getting another bike again at some point. I love riding motorcycles and the feeling is a lot different than a car, no matter the characteristics of either vehicle. However, half the fun is experiencing new things, so as much as I loved my previous bike, I'd be looking for something different to learn the ins and outs of. It's all part of the fun! Just my two cents. TL;DR: Sell the bike. Get another down the line if you need. |
