Not worried about ground clearance just want to get an idea of how much lower than stock you are. Stock ground to subframe is 6"

I'm afraid to get the 275 35 18 rivals in the rear and they super poke, but I would love if they fit. Since I can't get them in 265's.

Ok nvm Definetely going coil route picked up a set of KWV3 with vorshlagg plates for a decent price..

One last question from those doing this already.

If I'm lowering say only an inch to 1.25" to retain as much useable stroke as possible what would I need to have for negative camber on front to safely clear with 18x9.5" front with 255/35/18? Likely on Michelin Pilot Super Sports btw...

Again this is 40 offset and I don't want crazy tire wear or weird shit happening when street driving lol.

I'm planning on Tein S-Tech springs with 18x9.5 +40 all around with Nitto Motivo (I think) 255/35/18. I'm looking for daily driving goodness: no rubbing, good performance, decently quiet, etc. Think this will work?

As for the rivals they will fit like the rs3
Do you believe that running 18x9.5 +42 all around would clear a 10.2" tread width of the 275/35/18 for daily driving? I mean zero rubbing under any condition. Is that possible with that large of tire on this car and that wheel offset?

There is no straight answer because of a lot of factors come into play (coils, spring rates, height, camber and how you drive). I can say for my set up we are fine but i have taken the time to check and double check everything. I set up DesertFrs car with 265/35/18 he has 18/9.5/40 and he doesn't rub and he wants to go bigger. I went with a 48 knowing i could space it out if needed and i I used a 6mm spacer our test at cal speedway did not show any rubbing at our current height. Here is our build with the last few pics at cal speedway and the 86fest http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45562

Ok so are these the two sections people keep referring to that they're taking care of with more risky sizes?

Front: look like this is easy enough to bend in....?

Back: So are people dremeling around this clip? Just taking some off towards inner frame?
