I am serious.

What more feedback do you want from the guy? He's posted a video and voiced his discontent.

I'm not digging at JDL. But at the same time, they are open and honest and help their customers because that's what you do in business.

You're almost suggesting that because of previous issues, @ft_sjo should just sit down and shutup about further issues.

Whether JDL have resources for customer service or not is not the customer's problem. If JDL choose to operate their business with this type of structure, be it on their head the result of operating this way. NOT the customer's responsibility to 'consider it'.

Calling the product "a piece of shit" is hardly constructive.

And he has been insisting to potential customers of JDL that the current design rattles against the skid plate. This issue was fixed almost immediately after it was discovered. I find that sort of behavior to be very disingenuous.

I think the responsible way to address the issue would be to say what was wrong, and what JDL's response has been. Just complaining about issues without either giving the vendor a chance to address the issue or acknowledging their response is a jerk move.

With some megacorporations, customers do need to complain long and loud to be heard and get problems solved. JDL definitely does not fall into that category. They care about their customers and products, and they listen to people, no need to shout, as it were.

Fair points. I agree.

There are better ways to handle situations, this is a good example.

I'd hate to operate my business in this type of enviroment!

No doubt. I would not make it in customer service. I'd want to shoot people that troll my business which is such common behavior these days. Good thing my business is to shoot people.

I'm curious to know if anyone has actually asked for and gotten a refund before the headers shipped. I've been going back and forth for a while now since it's taking so long and a couple others in my area have the RevWorks UEL which are a few hundred cheaper. A few hundred could buy me a couple other nice things. I missed the group buy so I paid just over 900 for it.

Also I haven't heard too many people (maybe one?), say that they love it and that it works perfectly, without any regrets.

I've been driving Nijins car over the last week to help him with non header related stuff and I love his car. If I could have just cloned his car before i bought my vortech I probably would have. No noticeable torque dip, virtual dyno is showing nice.... He just needs a retune.

On the stock muffler it has a higher pitch sound but its the stock exhaust. It has grown on me a lot over the last week. Power delivery wise it seems wonderful. All Nijins has is an intake, jdl header and JDL pipes. Wait about a month and I'm sure people will start throwing their personal opinions now that thy are shipping headers out.

I'll chime in now that @nelsmar has forced my hand.

The numbers from this header are looking very, very promising. We've been getting consistent and repeatable results with Virtual Dyno, but I don't want to mention any hard numbers until the re-tune is finished and I go back on the real dyno.

As for sound, I have yet to hear two cars with this header that sound the same. I think most of the sound characteristic will be determined by the catback section of the exhaust. On a completely stock catback it is louder on throttle and higher-pitched. It is kinda raspy, but very easy to live with. I have heard other exhausts that have a very deep tone with this header. I think the only thing to count on, sound-wise, is that an aftermarket header will increase the on-throttle noise level.

And I really need to keep a close eye on my car around @nelsmar. I'm worried that one day all my parts are going to find their way over to his car.

You better keep that garage on lock down... I'm coming for that car. It ruined my car forever. LOL. Your car + E85 would be bliss! Too bad you cant use E85

We had a local car trying to figure out the noise as he has the same noise as Stu @ft_sjo We didnt reply as we were trying to figure out the issue. I had the header on and off the car 4-5 times Friday and 4 times today. I was racking my brain thinking it was rubbing, touching ect. The noise was isolated to the flex sections.

I ended up cutting a flex apart to examine it. There is no packing material so what you are hearing is the flex/header expanding and contracting. Im contacting our manufacture tomorrow to see what we can do about that. We will get this sorted asap so please wait until I have an update on the situation

Cell pic of the flex cut open. The left was the inner portion of the flex before I cut it apart. The right shows the corrugated portion that that left portion slips into.

Called the manufacturer today left a voice and emailed them. Also found some nice 3 layer flex as a plan B. Should have some solid answers tomorrow

how does this affect the ones who have a header already?

I was waiting on the newer revision header to clear the skid plate anyways, but figured i'd ask.

Only two people are having the issue. I spoke to Ronnie yesterday and he asked if I wanted mine shipped out yesterday or if I wanted to wait a couple days. I decided to wait.
