If that's for TRD USA, that's crazy. My dealer sold me my exhaust for $995, and plenty of people have gotten them for less. Drop in filter can be had for $40-50, and the CAI for around $400. |

well it was what the price was because the guy pulled it up on his computer so its not like he marked it up himself... he searched for all TRD parts and those were the prices... how insane is that... for the price of those two things i can drop a FI into the car...

You sure it is "air filter" or "air intake"?

Another owner here, yes the holes are normal. I believe they are there as a water drain since they have the rolled lip at the end...

I picked up a TRD exhaust for my BRZ when I got it a month ago. I went TRD because it seemed like it was the quietest @ low RPM and was more of a "deep" smooth tone than a raspy sharp tone. I'm very pleased with it, and although I actually prefer round tips, I can live with the weird shaped ones it comes with. Installation was trivial at best and took like an, beginning to end.
I'm eager to hear what it sounds like with a UEL header. For the crazy quote on the TRD exhaust, I see your location is London. Are you in London Ontario? Canadian parts prices are higher than the US. I work at a Toyota/Lexus dealer and it's been like that forever. You should be able to talk their parts dept down into the $1000 range plus an hour installation time of around $100. |
