Are they crazy harsh on emissions and or parts?
I'd imagine a nice header and over pipe would make that sound amazing.

"Hi Kevin,
We get a brand new TRD exhaust in and now we are on the way to build the jig. Once the jig done,we will build KSG exhaust base on the jig." For clarification purposes, the reason why they are using the TRD exhaust as a base for the design is because I specifically requested them to design in a way that it fits the TRD rear bumper I have on my car. I have also asked them to make sure that they make the attachment points for my TRD rear steel diffuser. Sales representative Eddy is curious about the development of this exhaust for the 86. I have provided him with the link to this forum. Hopefully, he be joining as a forum member! I have also asked him to provide pictures/details regarding the development process so I can share them with you guys. |

I think he's based in Japan but I'm pretty sure he's from Hong Kong. Unfortunately, he can't show pictures of the development process due to company policy. But he did say he will provide more updates as soon as possible. If you guys have any questions, maybe I can send him an email and get answers for you guys.

well considering kreissieg exhaust for M3 is like 7000 or 8000, 4200 for a 86 exhaust is not that bad

If they can tune it to sound good, I'd dump 4k on an exhaust. The way a car sounds is half the battle for me (the other half being that its quick)

I do agree that the way a car sounds makes a big difference in the overall experience. Hopefully this exhaust will be worth every penny hahha.

Personally, I love the "inefficiency" sound of the UEL exhaust. If they can tune out some of the drone while giving it a bit more bark. I think it will sound fantastic. Just please...please talk them into doing something other then "burnt titanium" exhaust tips. That crap drives me nuts.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but the tune won't be consistent between open and muffled.
Something to keep in mind. You might need separate tunes. |
