Thanks for comment. The reason why I decided to spend so much money on this car is because I am a hardcore 86 fan (GT86 & AE86). So I am planning to keep this car forever and slowly add parts to it as time goes by. And since I am keeping this car for a very long time, I am only interested in adding high quality aftermarket parts to it which comes at a premium (As of now, I only use TRD & Kreissieg)..Many people might think this is an overkill for a car like the 86, but to me its fine since I have no intention in selling this car. I will also purchase a AE86 in a couple years time to add to my collection haha. And the reason why I didn't buy a car like the GTR is due to a couple of reasons.
1. Hong Kong is small and there isnt really a place where you can fully utilize the capabilities of the GTR because mountain roads here a extremely narrow.. 2. A couple of my friends own the GTR and I have driven their car..besides the excitement from the blistering acceleration..I didn't particularly enjoy driving the car. It feels big and heavy and has really light steering with no feel whatsoever.. 3. I prefer manual cars and rear wheel drive. 4. The 86 is a driver's car..I have a great deal of fun driving it everyday..whether it is in traffic or doing spirited driving at night. The car is great for training fundamental driving techniques. Good question though..I am sure many people are curious why I would spend this kind of money on a car like the 86. Hope this clarifies things..any other questions are welcome of course. Thanks! |

Thanks for your comment. I know I overpaid haha..as with all premium brands..you tend to overpay. But I will be the only 86 owner in the world with a Kreissieg exhaust (at least for the time being). Anyways, I am happy to try something unique. I am sure the car will sound great, but obviously not countach level great lol. Hopefully other members of this forum will find this thread helpful once installation and testing is underway.

If the Kreissieg exhaust turns out to be a success then I am sure they will make it a part of their usual product lineup (who knows?) Then you guys can organize a group purchase and get a discount which I can help negotiate if people are interested.

Why not have a high-end tuning shop make you a completely custom exhaust out of titanium?
$4,200 is big money for an exhaust, even for a $50,000 car. But if you can afford it and you are dead set on it, do it! Just be sure to post videos of the sound lol -Nick C.

No news as of yet. I'll send an email to check with Kreissieg. ETA is around one to two months. So theres still a long time to wait haha. Sorry! I'll definitely post pictures of exhaust and sound clips for you guys.
