Mine is connected to the stock OP. Didn't notice any mating issues or leaks. I did notice how big the bolt holes are on the JDL header though, I want to throw a washer on there when I put the new revised header back on.
Wonder if I should just buy an OP...just can't justify the money they cost for the little gains they produce. |

As long as my header is louder than the crickets.... Mission accomplished.

I just don't find the $300+ for an extra 3-4hp worth it, especially knowing there's a strong possibility of clearance/rattling issues (under load with stock motor mounts) not only with my bigger RCE front sway bar, but also possibly contact with the frame. Swift seems to have mended the sway bar clearance issue with some washers under the sway bar mounting brackets but I'd just rather not deal with it. The stock OP has good heat shielding and clearance so I'd rather not mess with it as long as it seals perfectly against the header.
I will take @xxscaxx 's suggestion about using some washers on the OP-to-header bolts to have some cheap seal insurance. |

I didn't have leaks coming from here though. Once I get time to put my car up on stands again I will check it out. |

I'll be hooking mine up to a Nameless full 3" downpipe. Clearance looked pretty decent last time I checked, but I'll be sure to post pictures.

@ATL BRZ
Here is our collector flange bolted up to the OEM overpipe. I dont really think you will have issues with leaks but we dont recommend using OEM as the transition is less than ideal

hmmm thanks for the pic but even if I bought a new overpipe I'd still have that transition to my stock front pipe. It's a slippery slope that I wanted to avoid. I just want a good seal....
