Well I'm disappointed that JR picked his BBQ date on the 28th. Because right now the 28th is leading on our poll as well. 49% of those who voted wanted our event on the 28th as well. I had hoped we could avoid conflicting overlap in our events.

I wanted to abide by the poll results, but obviously many of you voted before JR announced that date for his event.

So I am resetting the poll and it will close on Saturday at noon. Please go back to vote again! The 2nd most popular vote was for Fri Sept. 20th so that is my vote and my suggestion to you. But this time around if everyone votes to hold it on the 28th as well, then we will go ahead with the conflict because that is what you the voters want.

LOL thanks for the sienfeild reference , that was the only "drive" i made, i did meet up before canepa but didnt make the drive due to work. any ways looking forward to the meet

well folks, it's not noon yet but I'm about to head out to the MR2 meet all day. But the voting was far enough in one direction that I think we can safely call it. 66% of you voted to hold it on Sat Sep. 28th at noon.

Just a thought, but is there any reason we can't do it a few hours later to make going to both possible? I know people voted for noon, bout would like 4 be an option?

Because the raffle is for DRIVE participants only we don't want others to feel excluded. I think that was the main reason because there was talk of JR wanting to just do them together. That's why I was thinking if we could just get together after.

I see... But imo going from the bbq/drive to the raffle meet is an hour away from each other. Is it possible to do it a little closer? Maybe somewhere in San Jose instead?

This is why I wanted to do it Friday. Unfortunately that date didn't win and a majority chose sat. I think the spot was chosen for a centralized spot for the 86drivers. I wish I could go also but I will be out of town that weekend. I know it's a hard decision but we can't be at both places at the same time. Where ever you go it would both be fun. Enjoy which ever one you decide to attend.
