Hard to believe but our summer is coming to an end soon! But we’ve had a great summer of fun drives and meets. What better way to celebrate that than to get together somewhere and reminisce about our fun times and then hold our long-promised end-of-summer raffle! The raffle and prizes are meant to say thank you and reward our most loyal members and supporters who’ve come out to all our meets and DRIVEs! If you’ve been out to some of our DRIVEs then you have received an 86DRIVE club card, and for each DRIVE you participated in you’ve received a ‘star’ to go on that card. Each star on your card is worth another ticket to the raffle! So the more DRIVEs you’ve been a part of, the more chances you have of winning!

There’s still more opportunities to earn more stars, the 86DRIVE events will continue until August 31. Then we will hold this raffle party in September 28th, at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Dublin. We’d like everyone to make it to this fun raffle party, but obviously that will not work for everyone. So for those of you who can’t make it, we’ll have a way for you to post up (on FT86CLUB) a photo of your collected stars, and we’ll put your tickets in the drawing as well. More details on that to come. Thanks for coming out and participating all summer long in our 86DRIVE events!

Well we'll start it off with a few warmup prizes, nothing too grand but still something cool you will be happy to go home with. *We'll have some NorCal 86 DRIVE logo gear to give away, like a trucker hat, and some drinking glasses.

Remember, only people who participated in our DRIVE events and earned a star on their 86DRIVE card are eligible for the raffle! If you haven't earned any stars you're still welcome to the party, but you'll be cheering for our loyal participants who will take home the best prizes.

Oh wait, there's one more prize I forgot to mention. Something to get you boxer engine enthusiasts what you've been craving... that boxer rumble. YES! That's right folks we will be giving away one free BORLA UEL header! Very generously donated to us by fellow 86DRIVE member @mkivsoopra (Garland). ** Note there are a few caveats that go with this header, not the least of which is, the part is not CARB-legal and is for "off-road" use only in CA. ;)

OK, right now if you are not an active 86DRIVE member with a card full of stars, you are probably thinking, man I am missing out, what can I do to get in on this action? Well the answer is simple, you need to start coming out to the 86DRIVE events and go on a DRIVE with us. Showing up to a meet doesn't earn you a star, participating in the DRIVE is what earns you a star. We will have at least one more star-earning DRIVE this month so come on out and cruise with us! It isn't just a way to get eligible for a raffle ticket, it's also a heck of a lot of fun driving the fantastic roads that we like to play on. ** SORRY, OUR LAST STARS EARNING EVENT WAS 8/31 **

We want to make this an uniquely 86DRIVE event -- only people who have been earning the DRIVE stars are eligible for the raffle (and there's still opportunities to earn them, like this weekend!). And it's a more casual thing not an "official 86OC meet". So it doesn't really make sense to make it part of a larger group event, otherwise the other attendees will feel left out. Hopefully the raffle party and the BBQ will not conflict, as I'd very much like to attend both myself. If it were up to me, I'd pick Fri night for the 86D BWW meet, and do the BBQ on a Saturday all-day (but not necessarily the same weekend). But the voting is up so people can decide when they want to have this, and we can do separate voting for BBQ day. :)

Just need at least 21 days in advance to make sure people can put in for the time off. Don't really care what day personally, though I voted Friday.

Can't wait! Either day/time works...if a Fri, like mentioned, good way to start the weekend. If on Sat noon, you know what I'd rather do before and/or after the party haha especially if there's no setup/teardown to deal with lol.

well not much setup/teardown involved... other than hauling prizes to the venue haha. and I guess a laptop to display videos from. BWW has the AV hookups already I think.

Vote on the 86DRIVE site if you haven't already guys! Poll will close on Aug 24 but if we have a clear winner we'll nail down the date sooner. Right now though it's very close voting... :popcorn:

Voting is still very close on this... most popular days seem to be Fri Sep 20 and Sat Sep 28, it's neck and neck competition right now. :thumbsup:

Well the Summer Norcal meet is the 28th now it seems, so come on 20th! lol. Though maybe if the two are super close in votes like they are currently we can default to one to avoid conflict?
