It's been a while

I'm just going to throw a bunch of things in here that happened recently.

++Turn-in Concepts steering rack bushing
installed by DD Performance Research. This made a noticeable difference in steering feel. (No picture)

++ Turns out I installed my control arms incorrectly.
The way I did it works but it was impossible to adjust camber without dropping the arm at the subframe. This wouldn't be bad, but adjusting camber also changes your toe and vice versa. The two locknuts and one turnbuckle were impossible to adjust with conventional wrenches. DD Performance Research grounded two three combination wrenches so they are thin enough to use. The Cusco Arm requires 27mm, 29mm, and 1.25" wrenches
Before

After

20130815-DDPR_Day2-006 by VictorN07, on Flickr

++Got an Custom Alignment.
done by DD Performance Research. Fixed my steering alignment issue (cocked to the left to track straight). To get the rear camber and toe correct, you need to have two dudes doing the job. One to adjust the camber and the other to change toe at the same time.

20130815-DDPR_Alignment-001 by VictorN07, on Flickr

++DD Performance Research created a custom bracket
for me for a top mount oil cooler. Fixed the sag in the black plastic tray which caused my bumper not to fit properly. The brackets were riveted into the crash beam and mounted to the side of the Vortech intercooler. Creates some peace of mind with re-enforcement.

++My Borla header
cracked before the merge collector. While working on the above, we found a crack in my Borla Header. I found the root cause of my rattling resonance on ignition, and why my boost gauge was showing lean. Since this crack was before the primary O2, that sensor reads lean and makes my car run rich.
Time for a different header.

So glad I got rid of that header. Curious, what are the oil temps now and also before the cooler install?

Daily driving my oil temp rarely goes about 200F according to Torque. Monitoring temps before the install and comparing similar conditions it was about a 40 degree drop for me.

Carwash

Sad to say, but it's been a few months since I washed my car. Blame work. One of my mates, @firestormriot, and I washed our cars. Ended up doing a little shoot afterwards

Feels so good to have a clean car.

Borla Boxer Rattle?

I mentioned in the Borla Headers Update post that I found the source of my rattling when I start the car. Turns out it was indeed the borla header. We pressed on the pipe at the shop and we could hear it make the distinct noise.

As i mention in the video, this is purely for awareness for other owners. I'm sure Borla will take care of me. I started the process. I will keep everyone up to date.

Borla Warranty Update

I contacted Borla directly for my warranty process. They told me a replacement will ship by the end of this week. I confirmed I do not need to ship mine back at all.

Awesome service!

That is the same story @chadstyle told me when he contacted Borla. They sent him a new one and let him keep the original. Reminds me when I got an expensive "carbon fiber" front lip for my 350Z that didn't fit for shit. The company made me take pictures of the damage to my front bumper from installing it and the horrible fit first. Then they said they would send me a new one after I took pictures of the original one broken in half, haha. I enjoyed breaking the shit out of it to get a new one sent. The new one didn't fit any better, but I accepted it at that point.

Nope. Veilside Version 1. Replaced it with a better fitting knock off eventually.
